As a 73 year old retired teaching pro, I understand the significance of a properly fitted golf shaft. During my first round with this shaft I discovered an increase of 10 to 15 yd on each drive. Today, as I become more comfortable with the weight of the new shaft and the Dynamics of my transition, I increase that to 15 to 25 yd per drive. I was planning on buying the 3 dot based on my swing speed but ended up getting the 4 dot and could not be happier with my purchase, feels solid and straightened out my drives. I think the 3 dot might have been too close to my regular shaft as far as weight, I like the heavier shaft weight. I am not as concerned with length as I am with accuracy and the 4 dot does what I want it to do. I can still get it out there over 250 if I push it but right now the 240 in the middle works just fine. 62 YO, 95 to 102 SP. ... show more

As a senior golfer who has lost yardage over the years I bought into the hype that this Newton shaft could give me back 10 or 20 yards. After a few practice range sessions not only did I not get any additional yardage but more concerning it lacked any control. I tested it with my 2024 Taylormade Burner Mini driver. I drive pretty straight with a slight left to right fade usually in the 230 to 250 yard range. With the 4 star Newton, as recommended for my swing speed and length, I was hitting everything from a hard hook to a horrid slice. And on the occasions I drove it straight, it was 10+ yards shorter. As soon as I swapped out the Newton for my Fujikura Ventus Black 6 shaft, I was back to norm, hitting nice controlled drives with my stated yardage. I'll keep the Newton and maybe give it another try in the off season. But right now I'm kicking myself for buying into the hype. ... show more

I purchased the 3 DOT shaft and used it once and it didn't change my driver distance or accuracy. I then purchased the Newton 2-DOT. Wow! Got more distance and better accuracy. Definitely changed my game for the better. However, I'm having trouble getting my return from Amazon for the returned shaft. Newton tried to help me, and the seller said Amazon was responsible for the return. I suggest you purchase directly from Newton and not Amazon. Especially since you may have to try different shafts to find the one that is best for you. Happy with Newton 2-DOT shaft NOT happy with Amazon return service. UPDATE; Finally got in touch with Amazon representative and they resolved my refund problem. Therefore, I give five stars in every category related to the Newton DOT drivers. ... show more

Extremely happy with my 4 dot shaft. I used to struggle to carry 200yds and almost thought about getting a new driver. This shaft has me hitting 250 and im not even swinging as fast as I could. Great buy.
