Great item , priced good , easy clean up ! It’s nice to make your own lunch meat , decreasing salt , preservative, dyes and lots of not so good ingredients. It took us most of the day . Made 2 batches of ham .. and then honey ham. It doesn’t slice the thin deli meat but more round . The size is perfect on a slice of bread . We ate a lot of this .. frozen more to eat at a later date . The only downside is that it’s a bit hard to get it out of the container. I’d buy this again

Amazing item. We have used it twice, using different flavors, the meat comes out moist and very awesome. It gives us a chance to have low sodium deli meat that taste great and is good for us. Its so easy to use, just add your flavors, we marinate ours over night, then put in in container, and cook in a pot with water. We let it cool and then slice. What better way to have the flavors you love, in a healthier version of deli meat.

This thing works.. but its a lot of work, makes a big mess and I don't think you save that much money than just buying lunch meat.. It was fund to do and a great experiment but I gave mine away as a "regifted" Christmas gift.. LOL

Really easy to use. I made some loaves the first couple days I got these. Decided to make my own chicken deli meat. Cooked some chicken, chopped it in to chunks, and put it in the food processor. Used that to chop it in to super small pieces. Put those in to a bowl, added some spices, and mixed. Then just measure out about a pound and a quarter, drop in to the cannister, put the lid on, stick in the thermometer, and put in a water bath. Stick on the stove and cook until it reaches the desired temp. Easy. The loves were great. I sliced thin and the sandwiches were better than any meat I can buy in the store.

I got this to make homemade seitan cold cuts in my Instant Pot. It easily fits on its side in a 6-qt IP, and works well to keep the seitan from swelling and becoming spongy as it cooks. It can also be washed in the dishwasher, which is nice! **I’m amending my review to 3 stars because the plate that presses on the seitan always shifts to one side. Rather than a tube with two flat ends, one end is always slanted. It’s annoying when I try to slice it on my deli slicer.
