  • High-Quality Cable with Length Considerations
Size: 1.2m
The NewFantasi Cable for the Audio Technica ATH-M50x notably improves quality and aesthetics. The cable is exceptionally well-made, featuring a high-quality, nicely wrapped exterior that enhances durability and adds a touch of elegance to the overall look of your headphones. This replacement cable performs excellently in terms of performance. It provides a stable and precise connection, ensuring high sound quality, which is crucial for any audiophile or professional user. The connectors fit securely, reducing the risk of disconnections or static with lower-quality cables. However, one slight drawback is the length of the cable. While it is adequate for desktop use or in settings where you don't need much mobility, those requiring a more extended range may find it a bit restricting. This can be particularly noticeable in professional environments like studios or when using headphones in activities that require more movement. Overall, the NewFantasia Replacement Upgrade Cable is an excellent choice for those looking to enhance their Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones with a cable that matches in quality and design. Just be mindful of the length if you prefer more flexibility in how far you can move from your audio source. ... show more

  • Better than expected Better than expected
Size: 1.2m
The cable is perfect. Nothing to complain. Quality materials and the 6.5 mm jack is a nice bonus in care you lost the previous one. This cable is better than the old aftermarket cable I had with only plastic parts.

  • Excellent replacement
Size: 2.5m
This is a far superior cable to the OE one. Bends with ease, does not kink and is high quality. The included adapter was a nice touch. Connectors are well made. The red cable behind the black braid looks nice IMO as well. Great replacement cable.

  • A almost perfect upgrade to stock cables.
Size: 1.2m
A solid choice to upgrade for warn out M50x stock cables. These are absolutely better than the stock cables that come with the ATs. However, there is still slight noise transmission from clothing depending on what you may be wearing due to the jacket choice on these cables. It should be noted however, it is less than what you would get with stock, so that is nice. Other than that, they seem to be of much higher quality, and I can tell that they will likely last for a very long time. I got 8 years out of my stock cables, and I'd expect these to last even longer. ... show more

  • Only lasted 2.5 months, just buy the official cable
Size: 3m
I bought this cable looking to save a few bucks over buying a new official replacement cable. I also liked the idea of a braided cable because they are usually better/less prone to kinks. Boy, was I wrong. This thing kinked like crazy and was overall super annoying to deal with. I would need to unplug it from my headphones just to unwind it. I don't take these headphones anywhere, they are just plugged in at my desk. I wasn't going to go through the hassle of returning them and buying the official cables at this point. They may have been annoying but at least they worked. That was until Feb 22nd. My left ear started cutting out. I just started using this cable when it was delivered Dec 18th. I would have to wiggle the wire to get the left ear to stay on. They barely lasted 2 months! It was actually so bad that I used a different pair of headphones for a day while I waited for another replacement cable to come in. This time I ordered the official Audio Technica replacement cable. It was $10-20 more than this cable but my original pair lasted years before they all broke. I waited until they came in and I used them for a while to confirm that this 3rd party cable was broken. I'm out of the return window now so there is $18 bucks down the drain. Just spend the couple extra dollars and get the official replacements. ... show more

  • Way better than the stock cables
Size: 1.2m
I am very happy with this cable, it is much better than the stock cable on my ATH-M50X and HD-599 headphones. I went with the 1.2 meter/4 foot cable, which IMO is the ideal length if you're planning on keeping your phone in your pocket while using a pair of headphones, and should work well with a lot of desktop setups. The jack on this is high quality, it's metal, and comes with a screw-on 1/4" jack adapter. I was worried the jack would be too bulky (based on the photos) but it's not, and it works on my phone, even though I have a case on my phone. The jack that goes into the headphones is also metal. I've only gotten this cable today, so I cannot say definitively that it is more durable than the stock cables, however my first impression is that it will last longer. There is a spring mechanism around the cable before it enters the jack, which should prevent the cable from being kinked at a right angle, and I think will add to the durability. If I encounter issues with durability I will update my review. ... show more

  • Fits my M50x phones, sounds good
Size: 1.5m
It snaps into the phones like the original cable but without quite as much effort. For that reason it might not hold in place quite as well, but I don't know, just bought it. The -original- cable is thick and kinky, after a week it still has the bends from being confined inside the box. THIS cable came gently coiled and is nicely wrapped (braided), stiff but slim and straight, a lot easier to keep out of the way just because it isn't as thick and bulky. i wasn't sure at first about audio quality, but apparently I didn't have it plugged in good. My laptop jack is a little funky. This cable does not seem to reduce sound quality at all. ... show more

  • An okay replacement for the original cable
Size: 1.5m
I've bought a few of these cables over the years -- they have usually lasted me a long while before needing replacing, which all cables inevitably do. As of late, though, I have either been unlucky, or there seems to be some quality issue. I had some trouble with one I recently bought, but customer support helped me sort out my issues right away. I really appreciate that, but when the replacement cable, too, stops working after barely over a month of what I would call normal use, it becomes an issue. This is how these cables break: I'll be using my headphones, as usual, when I'll notice a crackling sound / audio cutting out when moving my head in a certain way. When that happens, I know the cable will completely stop working within a few days. At this point, even just slight, day-to-day movements of your head will exacerbate the damage to the cable near where it connects to your headphones. They always break in exactly the same spot, in the same way, and it's hard to not to feel that they are cheap by design -- not just to save money during manufacturing, but to ensure that you need to buy another cable a few months down the line. At this point, I'd be happy with a few months of use -- that timeline, for me, seems to be shrinking. ... show more
