This device was a lifesaver. I had one for my previous Samsung phone and it made it unnecessary to carry an external battery pack. This device worked great until yesterday when it let me down. My phone's battery had dropped to 15% and when I activated the charging case, it had virtually no charge. I chalked it up to user error. Then today, the same thing happened. You don't realize how much you rely on a device until it fails. Fortunately I am near an alternative method to charge my phone. I haven't contacted Newdery because I didn't see a way to do so when I looked up the order. Update: After 10 months, the case is practically useless. The button works intermittently. The case is cracking as the battery is swelling. When I can get it to work, it barely adds 20% charge to my phone. Manufacturer has requested a video and my order number. I provided a photo, description, and order number only to get the same email requesting a video and my order number. Update 2: Case in bulging on the inside as well as cracking on the outside as batteries continue to swell. Case no longer holds a charge. No response from manufacturer after a month. Not sure I would trust a replacement if offered. ... show more

Long story short, my phones charging port died so I couldn't charge anymore, bought a wireless charger but I had to take the case off to charge.. New case not was only wireless and a USB C port for charging and a backup battery. When you need power push the button on the back and the wireless charging kicks in and takes power from the extra battery ... show more

    • Bought for Pokemon Go
Bought an S21 Ultra and began playing Pokemon Go because of Pandemic. I can pretty much play throughout the day on full brightness most of the time and won't need to charge my phone until I go to bed at night. So if you're not a heavy user like me, you would probably double it and more. Haven't used it on vacation yet, but would probably last three days or more without charge if I used it conservatively and wisely. Phone does get warm though, and it charges a bit slow but even while I'm playing it's still charging. ... show more

    • Get this for convenient top-off, not enough for full recharge
S21Ultra has 5000mah - if you want a full recharge, unfortunately it only has 4700mah. With that out of the way, it is very convenient and lighter than if it did have a bigger battery. I prefer a battery case so I don't have a battery bank hanging off of the unit when I'm out and about - which I feel is dangerous to the precious USB-C port. I DO wish that they offered Power Delivery/Fast charging - as it seems to only charge at standard speed. If you're next to a fast-charger, that's going to be faster, but when you are away and traveling and can't plug in - this is a great solution. Obviously a 7000 or 10000 battery would make this bulkier and heavier - so there is still a role for this where you don't want too large a case. I encourage the manufacturer to produce the bigger versions as well - as I actually bought both options for my S20 Ultra last time. For fit, I will also dock a star because I seem to have to make several attempts to angle the port to make it connect. It still works and once I get it connected it charges constantly until I turn it off or depletes its battery bank. The previous offerings from Newdery for my S20Ultra didn't have this problem at all. Apparently, I'm not the only one to experience this - so hopefully they can address this. I won't send it back, because the few times I do need something like this, it's not a problem. I do appreciate that the buttons are protected and usable, as well as a decent lip around the screen to protect the glass. The cameras on the back don't really need protection since the battery bulge stands off so much from the phone body. Taking pictures in wide-angle do not show the battery bulge in the frame at al, as this is slightly angled to avoid being in any shots. I did do some tests where I ran phone down to like 10% and each time it completed until the case-battery discharged. It did not stop charging like some people complained about in the other reviews - only disappointed because the size of the battery doesn't completely recharge the S21U, but that aligns with the specs of the battery. ... show more

This case will add a lot of bulk to your phone, and the case is not shock proof. A fall from waist height is all that's needed to Crack the case. Expect a year out of the battery, before you need to replace it.

    • A case that exceeds my expectations
I didn't expect much when buying this case. I thought it would be cheap plastic and an even cheaper battery, I was wrong though. The case feels nice in my hands and it's heavy. You can charge the case while it is plugged into your phone and the cable will charge both, and Android auto works when the case is plugged into your car. That being said the battery capacity is about half of the galaxy S21 ultra so don't expect to double your phone's battery life. Still, overall good purchase ... show more
