Cartridges And Has A 10:1 Thrust Ratio For Use With Low Viscosity Materials Such As Latex. The Smooth Pressure Rod Requires Less Force And Is Quieter Than A Ratchet- Style Pressure Rod. • Best darned caulking gun out there!
Style: Gun
Best caulking gun EVER! To be fair, I saw this used and recommended on a you tube DIY video. I like the guy and his trim carpentry advice, so I took a chance and bought this caulking gun. It is AWESOME! No drip, that's a fact. Easy to use, comfortable hand grips and the BEST PART is that it only costs $12 bucks!! I have purchased other caulking guns in the past from the big box stores and they said they were dripless, yada, yada. They were total crap and I paid far more than I paid for this one. If you do a lot of caulking, adhesive work or any other "tube squeezing activities" you need this gun! ... show more

  • Great caulking gun
Style: Gun
I usually can't use caulkers because I 1) have small hands and limited grip strength, and 2) don't have a clue about their specific use and how to use them. HOWEVER, this was easy after some research and learning. Even though I still used this one for the wrong application, I was still able to operate it with a peanut butter like adhesive. I strongly believe if I had used the right level of caulker, it would have been a breeze. I'm a 5'4" small-frame female with a narly grip for being able to fit into a youth size football or baseball glove. This caulking gun was comfortable, well-balanced and made the job possible for me to do myself. I definitely recommend, but be sure it's rated for the material you will be using. ... show more

  • Lives up to the promise
Style: Gun
Holy cow is this thing nice. I’m 51 years old and have used caulk guns as long as I can remember this thing is truly the next evolution so smooth they’d have to panic about a big drip coming out of the end of it. Wish I had it 15 years ago highly recommend without reservation. Caio

  • Easy to use but does drip.
Style: Gun
Comes with no instruction or explanation of anything. Taking it for granted that everyone knows everything. I wrote to the manufacturer to ask them to explain how the no drip works for this model and they have not answered. So I started to use it and it is not a NO DRIP model despite it's claim on the title. Even pulling back on the handle to release the pressure doesn't always work. But on the plus side, the caulking does come out easily with less pressure from my hands. ... show more

This works really well. Durable and gets the job done. Easy to use and easy to replace caulk.

  • TOTALLY WORTH IT - ACTUALLY drip free, lightweight, sturdy, smooth & consistent trigger
Style: Gun
The media could not be loaded. After using a regular caulking gun for years, I was skeptical this product would be notably better but IT IS. Standard caulking guns require me to release the pressure on the caulk tube even after I release the trigger to avoid the release of caulk. When I release the trigger on the Newborn Octogun, the caulk flow actually stops, hence the no-drip. I can't tell you how many times I would forget to release the pressure on the tube only to look back and see a pile of wasted caulk that I would then have to clean up. • I used on: Trim, windows, bathroom tile, toilet seals (Used both 100% silicone and regular caulk) • Product as described: Yes • Quality: High • Packaging: Ok. • Responses to other reviews: There is no learning curve for this product BUT there is a learning curve for caulking. It is better to watch videos on caulking vs. reading an instruction manual • Me: DIYer @ age 40. PROS: ✔ Drip Free: IT ACTUALLY WORKS - See comment above. ✔ Trigger - Smooth and consistent. ✔ Lightweight, sturdy and comfortable handle ✔ Built in tools - There is a spout cutter and a seal puncture tool. CONS: • NONE!!! TIPS: 🔹 First time: If it is your first time caulking - watch a lot of videos on proper way to do it. It sounds silly for something conceptually so simple but it is an art form. 🔹 Cleaning: Wipe it down after each use - don’t wait until there are multiple layers built up. 🔹 Caulk tube cut: Watch videos on how to cut tube. Sand the tube at the cut. Seems silly but will dramatically improve your caulking. 🔹 Material Compatibility: Ensure the caulk or sealant used is appropriate for the gun's 10:1 thrust ratio, as thicker materials may require more effort ... show more

  • Really well made and worth every penny!
Style: Gun
This is really a well made caulking gun. I was very surprised when it showed up just how stout the materials are and how well it functions. Well worth the money.
