UPDATE I bought the second one (a replacement), hoping for a better result than the first one that didn't last two years, and nope. The replacement didn't even last two months. You won't fool me a third time with this one. Great concept, though. I just wish they were longer lasting. ---------------------- For $260 (when I bought it), I would have expected it to have lasted a bit longer. I used this almost every day and got a lot of use of it. It's now cheaper to buy a replacement, but ... I have to wonder if it's worth investing for a second time in something that wasn't as durable as I had hoped.

I absolutely love this. I NEED a second screen for writing and researching. But traveling, you just can't lug that big thing around. And the split screen on the laptop was not productive. I wasn't sure about this at first but I got it and don't leave home without it...don't know how I got along without it. I keep it on my laptop at all times. Even when I get tired sitting at my desk , I just hook it up and go sit in my comfy chair. My laptop looks a little like Frankenstein with all the wires, but I love it. I recommend this for anyone who consistently uses a second monitor. I have a taller computer backpack so I just unplug one side and it slides right in. Lightweight. Love it.

The screen was a little loose in the frame and even one properly attached it dipped toward the desk on whichever side it was attached to. It wasn’t the clearest or brightest screen, and without attach to the side of the laptop it became very difficult to hold one not on a solid surface. Almost impossible to hold it in your lap and type because you have to hold the opposite edge of the laptop down while you were typing. It’s a great idea it just doesn’t work very well in actuality.

Additional monitor is awesome- very easy to install and fits perfect on my dell. I wanted something temporary to use for travel and vacations and this is perfect. I bought little round magnetic tabs (Walmart) in the craft department to place on the bottom so I can detach and pack it separately if needed on the road. A great buy- many of my colleagues who work remote and travel have purchased this item

The screen is easy to install. As a plug and play you have to figure out if it works with the USB or USB C. Item worked as soon as I plugged it to my work laptop and had no issues. Just day 1 with the product will to in more detail once on day 90.
