When my alternator started acting up I decided to replace it before it left me stranded. The bearing was noisy and wound up tearing my belts apart. I didn’t want the absolute cheapest remanufactured unit, and I wasn’t looking for a high-output performance alternator either. I just needed a dependable, OEM-style replacement that would bolt in without drama and do its job. I went withthis replacement unit, and overall the experience was refreshingly simple. Installation Fitment was exactly as it should be. All mounting tabs lined up with the factory brackets, and the electrical connector plugged in without any modification or forcing. The pulley alignment matched the serpentine belt path perfectly. I swapped it out in my driveway in under an hour using basic hand tools. That might sound like the bare minimum expectation, but anyone who has dealt with cheaper alternators knows that’s not always the case. No grinding, no slotting holes, no questionable wiring adjustments. New gear except the two major bolts was supplied. It truly was a drop-in replacement. Performance Immediately after installation, charging voltage stabilized between 14.2 and 14.4 volts at idle. Before replacing it, I was seeing lower voltage and occasional dips when accessories kicked on. With the new alternator, the headlights no longer dim when the A/C engages, and the battery light has stayed off. Cold starts feel stronger, and the battery holds charge consistently after driving. Output appears stable across different RPM ranges, which is exactly what you want in a daily driver. I got a little monitor to watch it! The unit feels solid in hand. The casing is sturdy, the cooling fins are well-cast, and the bearings spin smoothly without noise. Compared to the worn factory unit I removed, this one feels properly assembled rather than loosely rebuilt. It doesn’t give off the “cheap reman” impression. It feels closer to OEM quality than to bargain bin parts.

Perfect replacement for the original part that lasted 149k miles. Installed and passes the crank test. Although it comes with a nut and washer, I felt better using the original flanged nut where the nut and washer are a single item. With the area for the battery connector so difficult to reach, I wanted to have only one thing to manage in tightening things down. It also definitely has all the same markings as the original equipment, so that also provides comfort. The mysterious whining sound is now gone, and my voltmeter is consistently showing 13.8-14.3 volts while driving.

Installed on my 2013 sonata gls 2.4 with 226k miles. 1st time doing this it took 3 hrs. Bolted right on and works great.

If I could give less stars I would. Replaced my old alternator with this one, and went and had it tested and it has a bad voltage regulator. Sucks, because that drains the battery. Would never recommend getting from here!

Replacement alternator arrived well packaged and is high quality. Looks exactly like the oem part that was removed. Made sure to mark the original part that way could mark the replacement the same way so could be sure installed the new one sitting as the original. Easiest part of the replacement process was seating the new alternator, which seated with no issues. Hardest part was removing the old alternator which consisted removing the engine mount and using a floor jack to raise the engine for enough clearance for removal.
