  • Before painting, wipe first with a damp cloth to remove any ceramic dust and allow to dry completely. Since ceramics are porous, after cleaning, spray or paint a base coat of your preferred color over the entire piece.
  • After applying the base coat, paint the piece with thin layers of acrylic paint until it reaches the desired color. After the piece is fully dry, apply a spray glaze (either glossy or flat) over the entire surface to seal the piece and help protect the color.

I had fun painting it with acrylic paints and it dries fast so you can add a second coat and has a smooth finish. I could probably add a sealant coat, but haven’t seen the need for it yet. If you have a sturdy hand, the lines are easy to outline with darker shades for more detail. It’s perfect size to put on my bedside table for daily my jewelry and small items like my vape pen. This bowl is adorable! I like to paint pottery that gets kilned, so I thought I’d try painting one with Acrylic paint too. It’s definitely worth the money. Would make a nice gift for an artsy/craft lover!🎨
