I purchased these hoops just for the 5x12 hoop size. This made using the machine with larger styles without having to move the hoop to multiple spots. The other hoop sizes are a bonus so we can have multiple items ready without having to reuse just 1 hoop. Will be purchasing more!!

I ordered these hoops because I needed extra hoops for the holiday season in order to process orders a tad more efficiently. Please be aware that the machine I use these on is a Brother PE 770. These hoops are pretty much the same as my other sets of hoops with little to no general differences. I have two other sets of hoops, the first of which came with my machine and the second of which was purchased from a different supplier here on Amazon. In use, there are no issues I've had involving tension or tightness. The hoops hold their contents well and can be tightened quite firmly. Also important to note, the brothread hoops (as of December 3, 2021) use the same 5.5 mm brass Hex standoff to tighten as my other hoops do. So that makes it incredibly convenient if I ever need to replace those standoffs. These hoops certainly do their job as well as the original hoops I had with my machine. I've only used the 4x4 hoop from this set. It hoops easier than my hoop from Brother. Fits my machine perfectly. Glad to have a spare 5x7 hoop. I have other products from this dealer and the threads and stabilizers work fine.

Do yourself a favor and check all of the screws before you use these hoops. My first stitch out was looking pretty janky and then I noticed the loose nut sitting on the machine bed. After pulling the test out and reattaching the screw, reloading the test fabric and stabilizer, and restarting the design again all was well. I checked the other 3 hoops and they all had loose screws holding the plastic hoop to the metal attachment bracket. Overall a good product but make sure that you don't have a screw loose! ... show more
