I do HIIT and weight training. This shoe is great for both. It provided support for the HIIT movements and is comfortable during my free weight exercises. I got the wide as my foot is quite wide, and I’ve had no trouble with toe crowding or rubbing. I’m usually in an 8 but I found the 8.5 to be more comfortable in these. These shoes started out as my go-to training shoes for strength training. I have a super high arch with a wide foot and it's difficult for me to find shoes that fit comfortably- especially during workouts. These are so great I went through the first pair and bought a second to wear as 'recreational' shoes. They've become every day shoes for me. Super comfortable. I've tried so many shoes now and was really hoping to like these. The back though on mine just wernt able to withstand much wear and got flimsy enough just after maybe 2 months of normal wear so that my heel slips out. My heel slips out sooooo easily. It's incredibly annoying. Think because the way the back didn't have a lot of quality structure to it so it wears out quickly or maybe how low it goes that causes the back of your heel to slip. I've tried so many ways to keep these but I just couldn't get them to stay on no matter what I tried. I fussed with them for cumulatively several hours. I can't anymore, it's just driving me up the wall. I can't imagine running with these. I used this just for a daily 30 minute gym routine. They are still usable luckily for someone who doesn't mind the slipping of the heel, so good for goodwill so it doesn't end up in a landfill. But for anyone hoping to be super active, I personally just can't deal with that much heal slippage. ... show more

I've been wearing these strictly as a gym shoe for cross training and only indoors. These are super cute, but very tight and they seem to run very small. I have small feet and usually wear a 6.5 in a running shoe (sometimes a 7 depending on brand) so I ordered these in a 6.5. These are SO SMALL. New Balance's sizing is way off in these. So maybe order a full size up if you get these. ... show more
