I like the way they look. They seem to be well constructed. Yet I have always liked New Balance but lately it seems their styles have not been according to US sizing standards. I should state (as I tend to in a lot of my reviews) that I am female but men's shoes, especially sneakers fit better and are more practically designed. I am size 10 in women's shoes , and yes it can depend on the style but it used to be that men's size 8 used to be the equivalent size but I find that I have had to get New Balance men's sneakers in size 9 to even 9.5 to be sure they will fit correctly and also not start to hurt my feet when I start walking in them and using them. I have to send these back. They were a size 8.5 and it seems that though there is slight room in front of my toes in the sneaker, it seems that my toes will start hitting the front of the toe box should I start walking. I cannot risk that. I will have to try a different size. It seems too, that the heel area is slightly elevated. I hear that many brands are elevating the heel area in athletic shoes because it is supposed to cushion the heel better when your heel strikes the ground as you walk. Or that is what I best understand of it. But this may also push the front of your foot to the toe box. I will have to keep trying to find the right New Balance sneaker that is comfortable to use. Run a little on the small side. All my shoes are size 10. My big toe is touching the front of the shoe. Had them on all day now and they don't hurt.
