I cannot speak for the durability, comfort, cushioning, or whether they are best for jogging or walking or the gym. I have not used them but only tried them on. One thing I like about them is their appearance. I like this particular color combination. Shades of gray and blue. Nothing really florescent or with bright , loud , outlandish colors that would only make then fitting (visually) for a colorful tracksuit or tights and not with regular clothing like jeans or cargo pants or khakis or trekking pants ( unless maybe the jeans, cargo pants, khakis or trekking pants are outlandishly colored too), but very loud colors are meant for teenagers. Older people would prefer more toned down colors. Of course I know I don't speak for everyone and yet, there is a need for active wear and general use clothing for people with more mature tastes. I did buy these sneakers in size 8 wide. There wasn't an 8 and a half that I saw available on the Amazon site. It was also to make sure they fit. I am female but often buy men's sneakers as they fit better. I like the New Balance brand (of course not all their styles) and other NB styles such as the 870 is comfortable and a size 8 in men's fits just right. But a different style in the same brand can fit differently. I was not sure if a different NB style would fit be in the same size. When I tried on the sneakers it seemed they basically fit and were comfortable enough when I just walked a few feet indoors but I could not be sure that if I were to walk longer distances in them I would really feel my toes hitting the inside at the front of the sneaker. I decided to return the ones I originally ordered. I will order a different size. Probably 8 and a half but if not available, maybe size 9. The material of these sneakers seems good. The fabric is not very flimsy as with other brands and styles (even NB has some styles with fabric that is too thin and light). The sneaker has good symmetry and shape. I would recommend these but it can depend on your needs for a sneaker. I will update if necessary. NOTE: I ordered a size 8.5 . They fit and were basically comfortable merely wearing them. Yet It still seemed that I could not be sure that they would be comfortable enough when I am walking. So I sent them back and ordered a size 9 to be on the safe side. It is odd that this style seems to run small. Maybe it was that my socks were a bit thick but I do love the appearance of this style in the color I ordered, Gray. I am hoping to order another pair as soon as I know which size would be best.

Let me start out by saying that I was a little disappointed in the sole of this shoe for technical trail hiking. Most trail running shoes have serious tread, this was more like a traditional running shoe. It didn't handle rocks and rougher terrain like I was hoping. I bought these for a service trip to South Africa and knew that we would have to hike to several of the locations we were working. Where there were cleared paths these shoes were fine, but as things became much more rural and we were trekking through the South Africa wilderness these became less reliable and I had to switch to my work boots. Now, we spent significant parts of our down time playing with the school children at the school we were working at -- these shoes were perfect for rugby and soccer games and served me well there. And, when I was able to do some cultural and tourist activities these shoes were incredibly comfortable for walking for long periods. The final verdict is these are good trail running shoes for well groomed and maintained trails, but don't get these as a lightweight alternative to hiking boots, or use on less travelled trails.

These are great! Very light and comfortable. I walk and run about 20 miles a week. These are perfect. MUST get a half size bigger than you normally wear. Other than that 10 of 10. Can’t beat these at only $70. Better than any $125 Nike that wears out in 8 months.

I walk 10-13 miles a day at least 5-6x a week (plus another 5 on Sundays) and these have been great for my feet. It gets hot (heat index up to 120) in the summer and the mesh keeps my feet cooler. (Though I would get some in a lighter color if they were available.) The fit is definitely very wide - I have to wear thicker insoles and socks with these, and I am going to try a non-wide size when I reorder. I am a woman with very wide feet and get men's wides and they fit well, but these are extra wide. They're a bit bouncy, very comfortable and soft, and feel a lot like the Hokas I tried on in-store but can't justify for the price.

I love New Balance and have been wearing their shoes for over a decade now. These are true to size, super comfy and lightweight. My last pair of new balance lasted 5 years until I wore a hole in the toe of the shoe (as pictured) These have a toe protector just for that reason. The back is slightly hard and comes up higher than my last pair. It does rub a bit, so you'll want to wear ankle or crew socks instead of no shows. I'm very happy with my purchase!!! The pop of color is great and you can't beat this style for the price!
