I used the Neutrogena oil free acne scrub throughout my teenage years, and it worked really well. It has a creamy base, so i figured that since this is from the same line, i would get the same product just without the beads. The main ingredients are indeed the same, but the smell is different! I wonder why they don't use the same smell since it's from the same line. I like the scrub scent more, unless they changed the scent of that one too. It has been almost two years since ive used the scrub, so i don't know. The scent of this wash isn't pleasing. They should make it unscented. After all, no scent is the best scent when it comes to skin care. (unless it smells delicious) Too much menthol is another con. There's menthol in the scrub formula too, but it's not as overwhelming. I think this is what they meant by "new formula - results in one day". Menthol is meant to deliver medicine quicker and more effectively, but dude- it's uncomfortable! Lighten up on the menthol. My skin isn't sensitive; it's actually quite strong, but i can imagine how so much menthol can sway many consumers from this otherwise wonderful product. With that being said, i do like the menthol, i just find the amount too overwhelming. Please change it back to the original formula, Neutrogena! A great thing about this scrub is that it has no dyes! Yay! The scrub has dyes in it to make it orange, which is okay, i guess, but no dyes is best. Once i rinse this off my face, my face feels silky and soft. I like that it has acne medicine in it without being too overdrying. I love cream cleansers. I will be repurchasing this. Another pro is that it is one of neutrogena's more affordable products- yay again! I love Neutrogena, and i find that its products are the only thing that helps me control my acne. (st ives works too, but it's too abrasive for daily use). Salicylic acid, Neutrogena, and I are the perfect trio.

My doctor and I have been trying to remedy the allergic reaction this product has given me for around a month! I have used this face wash for 2-3 years and it helped initially but has now caused more harm than good giving me contact dermatitis and eventually leading to me getting cellulitis. After a second round of (even stronger) antibiotics my skin has finally normalized. The worst part of this adventure is that I’m not sure which of the ingredients I’m allergic to, which has made me super wary of what I put on my face now. I switched to a $37 clay cleanser made from all natural, completely vegan ingredients and I have had no reaction to that. I have reached out to the manufacturer on my own about this and they have been wonderful about my issue with their product and have worked with me to do what they could to make it right. This is just meant to serve as a warning that if you have sensitivities to any skin products that you might want to research the ingredients or select a different face wash.

The scent is everything! Very bright and punchy. Smells delicious, actually. Works very well. My skin feels very clean and looks radiant after using the scrub. One thing to note - the particles (for exfoliation) are somewhat large. It is not a fine scrub, more of a sugar scrub with those plastic beads in it (which are terrible for the environment, if that is something you are trying to avoid!) I would buy the face cleanser from this same line and use that every day (exactly what I did), and use this scrub a few days per week. I do not recommend that this be used every day, especially for acne prone skin.

I have been using this face wash for over 6 months now and I like it quite a bit. I usually use it once a day (before bed) and it keeps my skin pretty clear. I find that some face washes will make my break out but not this one, I didn't even have a problem when I switched over to it. I do still need to use spot treatments if I am really stressed out and break out, so this isn't the only product you need to keep acne 100% under control. The product also has a really nice smell - I don't find it too strong but I see how some people might, especially if you like unscented products. I also like the little beads that are in the face wash, it feels nice to scrub your face a bit and your face feels really clean afterwards. I also don't find that it dries out my face too much, but again I only use it once a day so maybe with increased frequency it would. I also use face cream before bed and in the morning to keep my skin moisturized. I really like Neutrogena products, I find they work the best for controlling breakouts without being too harsh on my skin. If you don't mind scented products, I recommend giving this one a try!

Pros: This is my go to face wash soap for travels, as well as, now at home. I used to use the Oil Free Wash, but it was extremely hard to carry on trips. The liquid drips out of the bottle and its almost impossible to close, unless you get one of the different types of covers. However, this thing is much cleaner and less watery as well. It is necessary to use it with quite a bit of water, as it comes out in a cream like paste. This means that unless you actually wash your face there is no way you could use this as a cream. This has kept my acne away for quite some time, as without using this or a different kind of oil free soap the acne comes back fast and furious. I went through about two of these in an entire year, washing twice a day. So, it's not used that fast, but they do go. All in all, a great cleanser for the face. It keeps my acne away, yet at the same time keeps my face clean. Cons: Like other reviewers have stated, this thing can really burn. Although, I have found this thing hurts only when you have extremely dry skin. This is almost never a problem for me, but I do understand where they are coming from.

I seriously fell IN LOVE with this product, I struggled with acne. This cleanser is my go-to, it clears up your acne and if you have acne now and apply everyday the acne gets smaller and no scars. It is a bit drying to use everyday but an amazing moisture solves the problem. I was skeptical because there are a lot of counterfeits about this product but rest assure this one is THE REAL DEAL!
