Usually because they are put off by a scent that only grandma would love, bless her heart! Well you should try this! It's truly amazing lotion, it is scent free and is colorless. I use it on hands, feet and ...lips! Norwegian Formula is a very unique sort of hand lotion. It doesn't look or smell like any other lotion you commonly see. It is odorless, it is literally clear, and it virtually disappears into your skin. Learning curve- I found that when I first tried it, I actually didn't like it! It's because I applied it like regular lotion. I slathered it on, gave it two wipes, and complained that it was "gooey." This product is thick like honey. It might feel odd handling lotion like this at first, but if you take time to really rub it into your skin, it disappears. It leaves skin soft and smooth, and odor free, it's especially good on cracking feet, especially the heels. A bonus- when applying to my hands, I rub this into my chapped lips! It actually works amazing as a lip balm! You know that little space in your car between the center console and the seats? I tuck it in there with the red cap sticking up as a reminder to use it! This works wonders on dry hands, soothes dishpan hands, and smoothes dry feet! And makes your lips soft as a bonus! A little goes a long way, so it's also very economical too!

I've been using this since I was in high school. A tube was included in a sample of beauty products I got after sending in a coupon from some teen magazine. This is not the usual hand moisturizing lotion cream. Those smell nice and feel good when you put them on, but there is no residual effect on the skin. I use Neutrogena in the morning and again at night, and it keeps my hands soft. It also keeps my nails stronger and cuticles from being dry and rough. It actually makes my skin look younger. Year ago, I noticed that the skin on my forearms wasn't as soft or young looking as the skin on my hands. I started applying a little more than before, and bring it up at lest over my wrists. DO NOT apply a lot of this hand cream. It is thick, and almost waxy (not greasy). Apply just a small around - maybe a dab about the size of your thumb nail, and rub thoroughly into both hands. Add more if you need to. It may seem a little heavy at first. Just work it into the skin, and go about your business. The skin will absorb it and will be left feeling soft and smooth. You may notice it takes a few days to start seeing a difference, but it does work. If you're a law student, don't put a glob of this on your hands just as you go in to hand write a final exam. When my husband was in law school in the 1980s, he did just that and told me the pen was practically sliding out of his already sweaty (nerves!) palms. In other words, I don't use this just before I do fine detail work (sewing, crochet, target shooting). If I put it on just before I leave for work, and again when I go to bed, that's fine. Don't use it on your face -- this is for hands.

This hand lotion is great! My hands were totally cracked and dry and bleeding before I bought this and this has helped so much in the past couple of days! My hands haven’t quite gotten back to normal yet but they’re noticably about 90% better. They look more soft and they aren’t cracked anymore! They are still a little dry at the moment but considering where I started my hands are now almost healed!! Also I have extremely sensitive skin, and often have a hard time using hand lotion because I get allergic reactions to something in the formula — probably the fragrance. This lotion is fragrance free and I definitely can tell as my hands have zero allergic reactions. It’s so wonderful to finally find a product that I can use on my hands. Plus the lotion will last a really long time because as the packaging says, a little goes a long way. I thought that was an exaggeration but literally no, you put a dab of the lotion on your hands and then suddenly you gotta rub it in like sunscreen. My dad tried some and he didn’t seem to like it, but i think that’s because he was wanting something more creamy and moisture-feeling. I guess this product feels more like putting Vaseline in your hands, and that’s about what it looks like until you start running it in and by then it looks like the aforementioned sunscreen. After you rub it in though, your hands look nice and full.

This is MUCH more than a hand cream. It's not really a cream, which initially disappointed me; it's basically a slightly thinner, petrolatum/vaseline-type product. I initially just wanted a fragrance-free creamy hand lotion I could put rub into my hands the same way I would with any other lotion. But this has a slightly different purpose; it's more of a dry skin treatment than a standard lotion-type moisturizer. I found that if I rubbed just a dab on the backs of my hands and on my nails where they can get a rough, ragged and chapped, it softened them up within a matter of a few days. And because it's a little thinner than vaseline, it rubs right in. If it leaves behind any residue, I haven't noticed. I also use it on other dry areas like my elbows and knees without concern that it will come off on my clothes. I have also started using it 2 or 3 times a day on the very rough, dry areas on my feet, including my heels. I spend much of the year barefoot and never wear socks down here in our almost tropical climate. Now, with just a few applications, most of the dry areas are basically "cured," and my VERY dry, cracked heels are close to it. I will have to continue using it as a preventive measure, but it does work beautifully. Since the tube size is legally small enough to put in my carry-on on flights and I prefer the fragrance-free version, I can also use it on my face around my eyes and my lips which get dry on long flights. It's basically a multi-purpose product I wouldn't be without and costs no more than a regular jar of vaseline. OTOH, if you ARE looking for something thicker like vaseline, you might find this a little on the thin side. I still recommend trying it, though.

I used to work with chemicals for years and this hand cream was and still is my salvation from chapped hands. I tried many different brands and the next best option for my skin was Clinique Deep Comfort which was too expensive, given how quickly I was going through it. I kept looking for cheaper alternatives until I discovered Neutrogena. I tried both concentrated and regular hand creams. I personally prefer concentrated, even though it feels a bit heavier but never greasy. I spend a lot of time in cold climates and it gives me that extra protection needed. When I feel that my hands no longer need some extra heavy moisturising, I switch to regular non concentrated hand cream. When I first bought it, I made a mistake applying it on dry hands. I really had to rub it in and used too much of a product. Then something clicked. It is a CONCENTRATE. I now apply cream right after washing my hands while they are still moist. It absorbs beautifully and really only a dab needed. It is fragrance free. Great bonus for someone with allergies or someone like me who simply prefers fragrance free make up and skin products. I used to buy this hand cream in Europe, as I couldn't find it in American stores. Was happy to find it on amazon for a similar price. Won't bother bringing a bunch from Europe anymore. Maybe a body cream with Nordic berry instead, as I can't find it here yet :)

I have used the Norwegian Formula hand cream for years now and love it. It heals my dry cracked skin on my hands quickly and I also use it on cuts and scraped to heal them quickly with minimal scarring. However, I was disappointed to see that they have changed their formula. The new formula did seem a little less greasy and absorbed a little faster, so that is a plus, but only time will tell if it heals as well as the old formula

This is my all-time favorite moisturizer, a fantastic product. It’s marketed as a “hand cream”, but I dilute it with water and use it all over my body. Its main ingredient is glycerine, a humectant that pulls moisture into the skin. When diluted to a watery consistency, glycerin is non-comedogenic (ie, it doesn’t clog pores). The non-scented version of Neutrogena Hand Cream doesn’t cause an allergic reaction in me, while many scented products do. Neutrogena Hand Cream is so concentrated that a tiny dab goes a long way. A glob smaller than a dime will moisturize my entire body after being diluted. Here is how I use it: Lips - No dilution. Works much better than Chapstick! Eyelids - Dilute a BB-sized dab with a drop of water, just enough to make it spread easily. Face - Dilute with water, drop by drop, until watery. Moisturizes skin without blocking pores or causing acne. Rest of body - Dilute with water until runny. I use it almost everywhere.

Do your hands dry out at the first hint of cool, dry weather in the fall? Do your hands dry out even worse in the cold winter weather? Yes to both of those questions for me! My hands get so dry in the winter that sometimes the tips of my fingers will split like a bad paper cut and take many painful days to heal. But there is a way to prevent this from happening, and when I say "a" way, I mean I've only found one way that if used regularly works to keep my hands moist and crack free, and that way is Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula Hand Cream. This stuff not only prevents severe dry hands, it quickly heals them too if you stick to a regimen of using it a few times a day. In the winter I try to reapply after almost every hand washing. This stuff is highly concentrated, so it only requires about a pea-sized dab to thoroughly coat both hands. I've seen a few complaints about how its hard to work into the hands. And that's exactly the idea! You don't want to use too much of this; you want to find just the right amount that will be absorbed by your hands, and that amount shouldn't be much more than the pea-sized (or smaller) dab that I mentioned a second ago. Even a small amount will take a little effort to work into your hands so that you're not left feeling greasy. If this Hand Cream doesn't sound right for you, Neutrogena offers other options, as do a plethora of other brands that might suit your needs. But this is indeed the right stuff for me. So whether it's the cold weather or you work with cleaners/chemicals that dry out your hands...or maybe you just need to wash your hands frequently causing severe dry hands...if nothing else seems to be helping and you're in search of a therapy. I think you may have just found it. Do give it a try.
