I don’t usually write reviews, but I think this product deserves mentioning. I have nothing but high praise to bestow upon NETGEAR’S new Orbi 970 Series router. If you have a lot of devices running off your current router, 50 or more, (you’d be surprised as to how many items the average home actually has sucking off their router, not to mention a router being used for business), and you need an Ultra-FAST internet connection for gaming or streaming, then the “NETGEAR Orbi 970 Series Quad-Band WiFi 7 Mesh Network System (RBE973S)” may be a right fit for you. NETGEAR Customer Service is excellent, and has a dedicated team assigned to the Orbi 970 Series to address any hiccups that you may encounter during the installation or use of this router. There is one major drawback that I can see regarding this router: It’s Expensive! But, If you can deal with the astronomical price, then I would highly recommend this router. ... show more

I’m trying to upgrade to some current technology as mine is about 6 years old. I unpacked and set up this Orbi system. Spent the evening getting up to speed with its features. Love some of the control points. The system gave a security score and made some recommendations, even populated a couple buttons to enable the suggestions. Oh, wait… the buttons wouldn’t work. Spent the afternoon on the phone with NETGEAR support. They had no idea why the buttons wouldn’t work. Then I left the house. The remote connectivity app wouldn’t connect. When I got back home, it said everything was offline. I have a desktop that has a wired connection. All was fine. Back to tech support to figure out why….. this continues. Read some of the google reviews and found many of these same issues from others without fast support. They’re going back. Cool features! Garbage connection stability. Support seemed out of touch. Rock solid stability. Wireless back haul is blazing fast. Any negative reviews of the 970 were from people that did not set it up properly. This thing is amazing. Watch you tube reviews by the experts if you don’t believe me. Very happy with my purchase!

I replaced my eero 6E with this wi-fi 7 state of the art router. Like others mentioned my connection between the satellites keep dropping and it is so annoying. Coverage perspective, it is not at all good. It doesn’t even cover 4K sq ft. My security cameras are not even getting the signals that they need. Router App is very basic.     • Amazing Coverage, Dated Software
I received this router and satellites to replace a WiFi 6 mesh system. While the previous system has worked well, the layout of my workspace has some blockers and I needed larger coverage. The Orbi has worked great for that. The range is spectacular. I'm able to get signals, with fewer satellites, in places that I couldn't with the previous system. The router and satellites are very large and heavy, but have a design that doesn't stick out that much. I do like that the satellites have ethernet ports and a backhaul port too. As for speeds, I only have one Wifi7 device and it doesn't really have high bandwidth needs, but the coverage and future proofing of this system make it worth it to me. My set up process was not great. My previous network SSID had a space in it, but the Orbi set up does not allow SSIDs with a space. As you can imagine, there will be much work involved in moving everything over to the new network. The Orbi app worked well, but has a very amateur design. It works, but for the cost of this system I would expect a lot more polish. The same goes for the web interface. I would also expect more admin options on the web interface, it seems a little sparse. The value proposition will be unique for each person, but I find the coverage alone fits my needs. ... show more

    • Easily Replaced my ORBI 970
Delivered as promised. I was very familiar with my ORBI 960, Since I named the new ORBI 970 the same as the ORBI 960 and set the same pass code, every thing re-connected WITHOUT having to change a thing on my attached devices.
