The speed of the lights doesn’t necessarily increase with the volume of the music rather the vibration of the speakers and car itself activates the changing of the lights. Installed on my 2023 Tesla Model Y, the kit comes with everything you need even come with a tray for the console compartment which is fantastic, installation is hard but don't give up, the end result are very nice ambient light for Tesla interior otherwise passenger needs to bring their own flashlight riding at night. Daytime you can't tell the lights were there accept the fiber optic that run around the back of the seats, overall I'm happy, did took me 4 hours to installed. ... show more

Lights need to be darker. Many areas the lights are hardly visible.The colors are not as you would wish them to be especially pink. Its installed so I will have to make due with it.

Install is sorta easy. Just need to find your own idea about how to hide the cables. Install it how you want it. Just make sure to attached the led lights correctly and don't bend them to get a full lighting. Only downfall for me is the app you used it for. The app Doesn't Allow Spotify to play your music. You will need to have local music downloaded to your phone which nowadays we don't download music anymore. ... show more

After spending multiple hours hiding all of the wires to get a clean install, I finally installed the app to test it out and discovered that the lights that connect to the fiber strips do not do their red color, meaning I can only do any combination of Blue and Green. The fiber red light is so faint/dim that it might as well be off. The footwell lights work fine. I reached out to Nestour for help with this, and for the center console optical cable having defects. I will update this review depending on if they help me resolve the issues. Update: Their support team reached out to me and told me the unit was defective and offered a refund or replacement. I reluctantly took the replacement and am pleased to report that it is now working with all colors as advertised. There are 2 issues with this kit that cause damage to the vehicle which you should consider: The fiber on the center console makes the plastic from the console push down on the sliding drawer leaving a line on the drawer. This could probably be remedied with a stick on piece of fabric or felt between the drawer door and where it makes contact. The second place that it could cause damage and did in my case is when using the included arm rest cable concealer which does not seem to be wide enough to accommodate the arm rest, and if not carefully closed will damage the felt inside the cubby for the armrest. I installed the lights in my model y around 6 months ago. They were really cool at first. The instal wasn’t that bad but i noticed that the 3m tape that came with it wasn’t sticking well to anything. I cleaned off all the areas i was going to apply the tape to extremely well but it seemed like every few minutes the lights would start to peel off. I ran to the store and got some better 3m tape and used that. This worked better. They worked well for 4 months but right as summer hit, the lights on the dash kept coming off no matter what I did. I decided to remove those. A week later the lights on the back of the seats kept coming off and after another week, the lights just wouldn’t turn on. They fried the outlet i was using and now my tesla outlet doesn't work. In all expect this to last you the winter for a few months. This thing can not handle the heat at all. ... show more

Lights were dead on arrival so I can't talk about its brightness. The adhesion used 3M tape that most other items on amazon are sold with so I'm pretty sure that the adhesion would be really well if the surface is cleaned properly beforehand. I hate how you have to route so many cables into the arm rest just to get power from the lighter plug. Not to mention that by installing this SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR ARM REST STORAGE! Once the cables are in and you set the included tray in the storage, you can fit about a couple packs of gum and some coins and that's it. Overall the quality of the product felt very cheap. It felt like a downgrade to the Tesla experience. It took away from the simplicity and minimalistic feel of the car.
