My 7 year old son is very into Nerf guns and Minecraft these days. He received this for Christmas and has been obsessed with it. I tried it out as well and it’s awesome!! We have had several family nerf battles, this would be my first choice in nerf “guns”. It’s battery powered, when you pull the bowstring back it activates the battery power, you then hit the trigger and get a powerful blast that shoots the dart. Use caution when in close range, I accidentally shot myself and it stung a little. This gun packs a bit of a punch but it’s fun!! My 7 year old loves all things Minecraft. We love our Nerf toys and figured this would be a great addition to the family collection and something that my son can have all to himself. He absolutely loves it and still carries it all around the house, fighting off skeletons and zombies and keeping us safe. My only complaint is that the motor is rather loud and it kind of sounds like the old Nerf Stampede gun but it's not the worst thing in the world. I bought this as a birthday present for my grandson and he has been really happy with it. He's into anything Minecraft. As it is electric (battery) motor driven and magazine fed it can rattle of the nerf darts quickly enough. It's a Christmas gift so haven't used it yet, this looks awesome and I'm sure my Minecraft obsessed son will love it. BUT be warned ****It does NOT get delivered in a brown box, just the Nerf box as shown in the pictures*** The delivery driver was amazing and went above and beyond hiding it behind his back and ringing our doorbell having me come outside to get it and quickly throw it in my trunk so my son wouldn't see. My 5 year old son saw this on a catalog and it's the only thing he wanted for Christmas. He loves Minecraft and archery. This helps him have a fill of both especially as we can't take his bow outside very often with it being winter. The mechanism to fire is pretty neat.
