I got two of these for my sons, for their Minecraft birthday party, they were turning 7 and 4. It’s a really cool looking now and feels very sturdy. However, my kiddos have trouble with getting it to fire regularly without it getting jammed. It took a lot of trial and error and apparently only certain bullets that we have (since we now have a bunch) work more consistently in them. But when it does work smoothly and the darts do fire, it’s a really cool toy. I have realized over time that the more simple the Nerf gun is the more fun it is. We wouldn’t buy them again, as a gift or as a replacement if needed, but they’re still cool to have, especially with the Minecraft theme. ... show more

Santa brought this as a gift for our 8 year old that's slowly starting to question the existence of Santa. It was a huge hit when our kiddo saw it next to his stocking. (Parents: make sure you have batteries - it doesn't come with any and talk about major disappointment!) It's pretty accurate for a NERF gun. The bullets come out pretty hard, so highly recommend having the reminder speech of not shooting people in the face or animals, because this one might actually sting a bit. All NERF bullets seem to work just fine, so you're not limited to just the 8 it comes with. Our 8 year old figured it out in no time. His 40 year old uncle seemed to like it just as much. I was not expecting this toy to be so huge! I bought this for my grandson to surprise him with when we visit him in a few weeks. Amazing product. I love how sturdy it is. I bought this as a birthday present for my grandson and he has been really happy with it. He's into anything Minecraft. As it is electric (battery) motor driven and magazine fed it can rattle of the nerf darts quickly enough. My 7 year old loves all things Minecraft. We love our Nerf toys and figured this would be a great addition to the family collection and something that my son can have all to himself. He absolutely loves it and still carries it all around the house, fighting off skeletons and zombies and keeping us safe. My only complaint is that the motor is rather loud and it kind of sounds like the old Nerf Stampede gun but it's not the worst thing in the world.
