    • Cool lights, but wish they had a different way to mount them.
These lights look really neat and I love the different color patterns. The lights themselves are quite sturdy, but the connectors were hard to push in and the lights do not stay firmly connected, they wiggle a little, so it's hard to keep them all lined up perfectly when putting them on the wall. Every light has to have a sticky velcro on the back in order to stay on the wall. They are easy to use and work great, but if you want the music to active them, the music source must be very close to the receiver box on the power cord. ... show more

    • The replacement for my purchase was wonderful!
The first package arrived missing a very critical piece (the connectors that connect the hexagons together). But the replacement had everything and it's now sitting in my daughter's room and she LOVES it. It has several different light modes (a similar controller to other multi-color LED artsy things). But it also has speech mode - you can make it flash in tune to your music, or what you're saying, etcetera. For a 12 year old, this was the ultimate birthday gift. The 4/5 stars is for getting such a critical part missing in the first attempt - I'd have done 4.5 if I could, because the replacement arrived within 48 hours. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These RGB Hexagon Lights are very nice, colorful and decorative. When assembling them I had to make sure the arrow clips were inserted correctly, as well as unplugging them and plugging them back in to get them to work. The remote control is convenient and easy to use. There are so many modes and color combinations to choose from. I like that I can set the timer for up to 4 hours. The remote control also controls my RGB lights that are located in my livingroom. I don't know what app to use with the lights; I didn't see that information in the directions. I like these lights so much that I ordered a second set and attached it to the first one. This is an excellent product and I am very pleased with it. ... show more

I didn't receive the whole item, I can't connect the Hexagons together because the usb thingys are missing!!!! I can't go through the return process becasue just sending it over will cost me about what I paid for this product (I live abroad). PLEASE HELP!

    • Nice light effects, inexpensive, but kinda small.
These hexagon tile lights will display a lot of preset changing light patterns or they can do 4 different styles where they are controlled by music. The music feature is pretty cool though the music has to be fairly dynamic for it to work right. You get a lot more control options if you load up the "magic lantern" free app on your phone. Thankfully this app does NOT require you to create an account, I wish more apps were like this. If you are playing music and find the tiles stay bright all the time, you can go into magic lantern and turn down the sensitivity till they only brighten up on the beats. Overall this is a pretty decent app except that some of the menus are dark blue text on a black background which makes them hard to read. If you are wondering how to get the app, if you scan the QR code on the controller itself, it will send you to the right place on your app store. The provided instructions are kind of weak and don't mention this. The hexagons have a USB port on every side and they come with short connectors you use to put them together. You can have the tiles in any pattern you like but you must connect them correctly without creating any loops. The connectors have arrows on them to help you keep this straight. You can also have one tile connected to several others to get other designs. The downside of this product is that the tiles are probably much smaller than you think they are. The size isn't mentioned anywhere in the listing and some of the pictures make them look large and I have seen versions of these in some stores that are a foot wide. THESE hexagons are just 3 inches across which makes them pretty small. They are also not all that bright, plenty bright enough to be a good effect when looking at them, but even in a dark room they only will light it at about nightlight levels. They do show configurations with more than 8 tiles so I guess you could get two sets and connect them, but they don't tell you what the maximum number of tiles is for one controller. There has to be a limit, they just don't say what it is. Also these are designed to be stuck to a wall or something and come with adhesive circles to do this. Don't expect them to be particularly sturdy with only the connectors holding them together. It's fine for testing them out but they really need to be stuck to something, particularly if you are making a long strip of them. ... show more
