Got the double bag and pad. Pad stayed inflated and firm for 3 nights without adding air. It will not self inflate. Use the pump bag. It’s easy. Deflation is faster than I expected. Very comfortable pad for camping or home use. Easy to inflate and did have to do a bit with the inflate bag they give you to add to your desired firmness but not hard but also not totally self inflating. Looked at lots of other top brands and they all have some way of getting more air in to get it complete to use so this one is not unusual and the easiest to do from all the research I did....and I do research like crazy. Super comfortable and love the large size and easy to roll over without having to push up to turn over. Very compact in size so great to pack and store! Definitely a high recommendation on this pad! I opened it and followed the instructions and it didn’t self-inflate like the description said it would. Super frustrating since I was at the campground and needed it that night. I let it be for 24 hours, thinking maybe it would need time to “breathe” since that was the first time I’d opened it out of the box. But nope, it still wouldn’t self-inflate. I've been using the NEMO Roamer XL Wide sleeping pad daily for over a month, but not in the traditional camping context. Instead, I've been using it as a mattress topper during an extended Airbnb stay, and it's exceeded my expectations. The pad's most impressive feature is its ability to maintain air pressure. After the initial inflation over a month ago, I haven't needed to add any air despite daily use. As a side sleeper, I've found the thickness and support perfect for preventing pressure points, something that's typically challenging with temporary bedding solutions. Best camping sleeping pad, period! I tried many - REI 3 inches self-inflated, Cabela's 3 inches foam, etc. REI is a good one, but my feelings are that it is made from a rubber, and difficult to sleep on it because of that. Cabela's old foam is too stiff, new foam shrinks after a few years, not 3" any more. And they are very bulky. This one is just perfect. I can put it on the tent floor, I can put it to a camping cot. I do not need to use a pump, self-inflation is just enough. Top of this sleeping pad is made from a synthetic material, but it does not feel like a rubber - much better than REI one. Two things, however. I have to open valves after two - three nights to get it fully self-inflated back, it is loosing some air somehow. But this is not a big deal. Then it is a little bit difficult to release air and put this sleeping pad back to a case. But this is not a big deal as well. Very happy with this purchase, got a second one for my wife. ... show more

I am. 6'5, 220 lbs, side sleeper. I fit very well on this pad. I bought the extra long extra wide pad and Its almost the Length of a queen, and half the width. So I had no issues fitting on it. It's also very comfortable. It's not as good as my own bed, but it's a lot better then many hotel or Airbnb beds I have used. ... show more

I'm a big guy and I didn't feel a single rock when camping in the mountains. My poor tent barely accommodated the size of the Roamer. It is possible to inflate it too much so be aware of that. When overfilled I would kind of roll off to one side. I Like that the graphics at the end tell you how to fill/compress the pad without having to remember or look for the instructions.
