I like this Neewer L plate for its comfortable grip. However, I have a ZV-1. Will it work for me? Let me give it a try. Of course, this L plate does not fit for ZV-1. Nevertheless, I have figured out a way to make it work. I have already used a must-have base mount bracket (Tosicam) for every Sony ZV-1 owner. Without, it is a pain to use any kind of plate with the camera, since you have to remove it, before you can change the battery or SD card. Now, I have attached this L plate to the Tosicam bracket. To make it work, I have drilled through one of the three 3/8" holes (the middle one) of the L plate and enlarged it a little bit. There are nine 3/8" screw holes on the mount bracket, and I picked one of them to attach the L plate, with a normal 3/8" screw and a large rubber wash. If you can open the battery cover, and take out the battery, you pick the right screw hole. For the grip function, this modification makes it a little better, as it widens it by 5mm. I am glad that I can use this ZV-1F L plate for my ZV-1, and it works well. ... show more

I use this plate to fill in the size of my camera - it's small but this gives me a little more to hold onto and feel more like the big-boys do when I use it. Very well made gadget though, wish I'd had this when I first got the camera!

If you want to take vertical videos, or need a bigger grip, then this is a great option. The grip has a faux leather texture on the handle. The textured portion is a plastic sheet glued to the metal frame. The cage is very slim, so it doesn't add bulk to the camera. It also fits perfectly, and all the doors are accessible. The wrist strap can still be used too. The cage weighs a mere 2.0 oz, so it doesn't add much weight. The camera is still small and pocketable. I really like this cage, and plan to keep it attached all the time. I see no reason to remove it. ... show more

This is just an awesome little bracket to add a little more hand grip to the small Sony camera and to give it a tripod mounting point. The cost is very reasonable in the fit and finish and build quality is excellent. Even cheaper now than than it was when I got it. The bracket mounts very securely with anti twist. And it really adds minimal bulk to the camera while giving you a much more comfortable grip. No downsides to this. It’s a great quality component. ... show more

I bought this hoping it would fit my Alpha a6000, which I've had trouble using vertically, but no joy. However, I still have a ZV-1 II L and use it occasionally. It fits perfectly so I'm very glad to have it. Like all Neewer stuff, it is made to a high standard and works just fantastically.
