Seems like every company is coming out with their own camera sliders now and Neewer is no exception. Their slider is carbon fiber, light weight, but built sturdy. The rails are about ¾ of inch thick, so provide plenty of support for even heavier camera packages. This is a basic 2-axis slider, meaning you can control the side to side movement and the panning motion. However, the panning motion is set with a control bar that is not adjustable while the slider is in motion. I like that this slider is battery powered with the ambiguous sony L series batteries. Makes setup really easy so you don’t have to worry about connecting to mains power. Has a blue tooth enabled remote that is fairly intuitive to use. A few small quirks to it… in video mode, it has a manual and automatic mode. Both require that you set in and out points and a time duration. The time duration sets how fast the slider moves between the in and out points … in either mode. Normally, you would think of manual mode as giving you total manual control over length of travel and speed, but with this slider it is not the case. In manual mode, when you push the control dial to make the slider go right or left, the slider will move at the set speed until it reaches the end point of the move (or you release the control dial) and then stop. The only benefit to this mode is that you can decide in the moment when you want the slider to start and stop or reverse direction part of the way through the move… vs having the slide just running side to side on its own. Another point to note is that though the slider does have a “gradient” mode which is when the slider slowly ramps up to speed and ramps back down to stop (instead of immediately moving at full speed)... when the slider changes direction at the end of the move, it is immediate without any pause in the movement. So it can look a tiny bit jerky just as it changes direction. Other than those slight nitpicky things, this slider is a great place to start and will definitely help you up your game production wise without breaking the bank. It is great for interviews and basic timelapses and will allow you to get your feet wet in the slider world 😁

This camera slider is an incredible addition to my kit at a very decent price. It handles my Canon 5D with attached L-series lenses just fine without bogging down the motor but I do find it easier to use it with my mirrorless R-series camera and its lenses because their smaller form factor just fits better. The slider itself comes in a nice carrying bag and its lightweight and easy to transport from location to location. It's well protected in the bag and everything fits nicely. The battery charges quickly and lasts longer than I need it to but you will of course want backups which is easy enough to get since it uses a super common Sony NP-F550 style one. Those things are everywhere so you may already own a stack yourself. The remote works well and the slider performs every advertised function as I'd expect it to. There were no unpleasant surprises at any point so far in the weeks I've had it. The build quality is great and everything moves smoothly and quietly. While it's maybe not the absolutely highest end, most full-featured slider on the market, I think it goes beyond beginner gear status and instantly gives your footage a much more professional look. My husband has been in the feature film industry for 20 years and has an imdb credit list as long as my arm and he's impressed with this thing. It really is a great little piece of gear.

This is my first motorized slider and it is simple to use and setup was easy. Portable, lightweight, responsive and smooth. It's reasonably priced for the quality you get. I am fully happy with this slider.

The media could not be loaded. If you want to add some professional look to your videos then look no further. Neewer motorized slider is built with details in mind. There are many options to this slider that can provide you with that cinematic look with little set up. The slider is nicely packaged in a heavy duty cloth bag. Inside you will find a foam sectional layout that holds your slider and everything you need for it to work. From cables to battery to remote. I like to add that the remote has been redesigned from its boxy looking predecessor. It has a nice sleek look with a built in battery that you charge with the included cable. The slider moves very smoothly with hardly any sound at all. You set the start and end points and the slider gradually starts and then gradually comes to a stop, with no jerking motion. There are so many other things you can do with the included array of cables, such as time lapse motion with a smooth glide and anything else your imagination can come up with. Whether you are an amateur or a serious videographer, this is a tool you need to have. But let me warn you, you are going to be thrilled with this Neewer slider and you will want to use it all the time.
