I had one of these that was manual. Looked like a little skateboard. I used it once, it was hard to get done what I wanted to get done. So I bought a short camera slider. Same thing. They were alright but stuffed in a corner of other unused camera gear. This is why I gave it 5 stars instead of 4 for a few minor complaints because THIS THING GETS USED. First the likes. It was almost fully charged out the box because plugged it in to charge and 10 minutes later it turned green. It's packed really nicely. It's really easy to use without reading directions. It comes with a USB cord for charging. Also a plus is that it came with the do hickey thing to attach it to the camera, with two sizes of screw fittings no less, and metal. Nice. The build quality is solid and the results are close to professional. If fact in no telling what a pro could do with this thing. Minor complaints are that I wish they can with a bag full of rubber inlays for the wheels, had an even slower speed option and a way to turn the system off with the remote. Again, these are super minor things as I can slow the footage down in post, and make sure I keep the inlays clean. The third thing is a greedy wish. I recommend this thing to up your video game. Also several brands are selling this same unit like TARION, Annsm and most likely others so check prices so you don't get hosed. ... show more

  • Needs a slower speed
Overall, it's a good product. Seems solidly make, works well, and I love being able to control it with the remote. The only reason I knocked off a star is that the slowest speed is not slow enough. In many cases, you want a very subtle movement of the camera in the clip. I measured the slowest speed and it takes about 8.5 seconds to travel one foot when set to straight-line motion. That's ok for some uses, but not nearly slow enough for others. ... show more

  • Don't Use With Camera - Use With Cell Phone
I love the concept however it did not work as well as the videos and people suggest it would. I put my Canon R6 on this with a tripod mount. All the weight was on the two non-driving wheels. It had a tendency to want to fall. I had to readjust a few times to get it stable enough to use with the camera. I never did get it to do a straight line. It always tracks off. I ended up using my iPhone 12 Pro Max to take the video and it worked better. So, you may want to stick with a light weight camera or phone to use this device. If you want to use your camera you really need to add weights to the drive side. Unfortunately, I was unable to figure out how to do this. The reason I say weights is that I was using the motorized platform to do a review of a keyboard. Because the camera weight was mainly on the non-driving side the wheels would lose traction and just spin. That is why I say it needs weights. Ideally the device could have four wheels if it was a few inches longer. I think a better design would be to have more than one wheel power the device. I have only used this device on my desk. I have not used it on the floor or outside. I don't think it would do well outside. The wheels maybe should be redesigned so that they have better traction. I was somewhat disappointed but you get what you pay for. For something that is under $100 it is okay. I think I may save up for the more expensive ones. ... show more

  • Remote Dolly Success
This thing arrived practically as soon as I had ordered it. Build quality is substantial. Has a sturdy feel. It works as advertised. Make for really good pan and roll footage. Add some weight to the dolly to counteract any micro jitters. It's also quite noisy but not a big deal since footage can be edited and the droning can be removed in post. I recommend this device for simple video production. ... show more

  • Love this thing
Solid metal. Very sturdy. 3 speeds are handy and it does a variety of arcs which is cool. I have a camera mounted on a ball joint and it’s still powerful enough to move it no problem. Only caveats. Using it on marble countertop was fine but make sure it is clean or the wheels slip. Makes an audible whine that the camera picks up, but didn’t try it with a shotgun mic. No problem if you’re going to add audio at edit. ... show more

  • Use this for stock video work
I have done about 100 videos using this and love it. I love the fact you can change speeds, direction, turns, etc. It exceeded my expectations. I had been wanting a very similar item that cost almost $400. This one has been perfect and for well underneath what I was going to pay. Typically in videography and photography, you get what you pay for.....with this item, great piece of equipment for a great price. We go on the road a lot for our work, this is actually going on the road with us! ... show more
