I fell in 2021 and was misdiagnosed. Told my neck was the issue due to three previous neck surgeries. 1 1/2 years later I had rotator cuff and bone spur removal surgeries. Had pain in my neck and shoulder every night for years but my left shoulder had many trigger points and traps hard as a rock. Have bought every pillow for help but never an orthopedic foam type one. Took two or three nights to realize how great this pillow is helping me. My shoulders are relaxed in the morning and no neck pain. I am truly surprised. Thought I would be sending it back, but I am probably buying one for my husband. The only negative issue is that some nights, my head gets very warm. I am using a pillow case over their case. I was a skeptical of the claims, but with a bad shoulder that has me waking up several times during the night because my hand/fingers go numb, thought I'd give it a try. First night using this pillow is the first night I've slept pretty much all night in a long time. Being able to support my arm on the side armrests is as game changer - no numb fingers or hand!!! And I thought the pillow might be too low for comfort compared to my regular pillow, but it was totally comfortable. Pillow's cover is a question mark for me. Wish it was cotton or a cotton blend - will see how the thin slick material holds up. It also seems a bit warm, compared to a cotton pillow case, and the small holes woven in the fabric for ventilation catch on my beard a bit. Will update if anything changes, but so far and very pleased with my purchase. UPDATE** Have been using this pillow for over a week now, and it really is a game-changer. Best sleep I've had in years. The nerve pain of shingles on my forehead and face has left me with poor sleep for 6 years. I was unable to sleep on my side due to constantly waking. This resulted in very little if any deep sleep. After just one night of using this pillow my neck pain is gone. It was suggested by a surgeon that I get ACDF surgery for a pinched nerve in my neck. Instead I am trying physical therapy, a new pillow and raising my monitor. But this pillow was one of the biggest culprits because every morning I would wake up with neck pain and a headache. After just one night my neck pain is gone and I do not have a headache. I would highly suggest giving this pillow I try. Bought this pillow because I was having severe neck pain throwing me into constant migraines and couldn’t get it to go away. Searched out a pillow desperately to help and found this one. I was a spit Al because I have never bought a pillow like this, but I bought 2, one for my husband as well. He said he didn’t like it, but not even less than 5 minutes laying on his new pillow for a nap, he was passed out cold! His snoring isn’t even as loud as it normally is, and he barely moves at night. I have the great "luck" to have herniated disks in my neck. Using regular pillows, sleep was constantly interrupted by pain or lack of support, and when I got out of bed for the day, just generally grumpy from pain. Switched to this pillow a few weeks ago. It's amazing. I can lay in bed, relax, read, sleep - almost pain free. It keeps my head steady and prevents my head from moving involuntarily. It supports my shoulders, which decreases pain. There is even a place to put my arm when I sleep on my side. But I'm mostly a back sleeper and this is where the pillow really excels. Very little pain and I drift off to sleep and sleep through the night. Hasn't happened since before the disks herniated. Very, very happy with this pillow. **If you do have disk issues, clear the pillow with your doctor first, just to err on the side of caution. I scrolled through every review just to see if it fits in a pillowcase and it does (queen size pillow is actually smaller than the case)! I have had the pillow for about a month and I have to say: yes, I t’s super firm and yes, it’s strange and takes a few days to get used to. BUT I have been really impressed with it. My neck doesn’t hurt at all in the morning. (I’m a side sleeper) I like the shoulder cut out with the little cliff to support my neck. I have been quite impressed with it.
