It's very fluffy and adorable, when I saw the reviews I was kind of hesitate about getting it. The only thing is, is the glue around the eyes and some of the fur is messed up in some spots, but the fur is nice it isn't as fluffy as it shows on the picture but it's still very soft. A lot of people's said that there's don't move but mine sings and it's body and head moves when it sings, the head is attached to the body well but there is some glue around it. When it came it was packaged well. I love this item overall and it's very cute. Another thing is that it's a collectors item anything from NECA is for adult collectors so if you want to get it for you're kids then it's better to get them the plush's because this Gizmo is fragile and for older collectors. ... show more

The only problem I have is even after changing the batteries he still sings but he no longer moves his head back & forth “dancing” so my son is upset about that & I am a little too bc the item was pricey & worked for one day only and he was NOT rough with it- he left him on the table & danced with him. ... show more

I first ran into this item at a local toy shore. My wife and son loved it. I went back for it but he was gone!!!! So coming across Gizmo on Amazon was a big deal. Despite the hiccups in shipping Gizmo arrived just in the nick of time for the holidays!! Thank you Amazon for making this happen. Props to customer support. Gizmo himself is constructed decently enough. No sweatshop pattern baldness issues. No loss of clumps of hair while handling. Soft plastic or flexible ears would have been a nice touch, and initially that irked me UNTIL, my wife decided they were too hard to allow Gizmo to be near the bed. Ummm, ok. Thumbs up to the designers! Unpackaging was a non issue. Removing the demo tag was not a big deal. What was a big deal was activating him. There were no instructions about how you get him to do his "creepy" tune. No buttons, so don't even try. No motion sensor, so waving at him isn't going to work. It is sound activated! Which is a good thing. After you come off the high of 80's nostalgia, Gizmo promotes quiet. No loud noise, no singing !!! His eyes do not move, which is good. If a sensor allowed them to follow motion, it might become uncomfortable. Creepy is a better word. But in the end, he is awesome. I'm just waiting for my son to try and feed him after midnight. ... show more

Got Gizmo and he does exactly as described. I would not recomend this for small children, other than to just look at it. Gizmo is realistic, but I don't think he is durable enough for "children's rough play" as would happen if the kids toted him everywhere. He sings and wiggles for his dance. It comes on automatically when you make a noise, which could present a problem if you aren't expecting it or needing quiet. It does have an "on and off" switch. He would have been absolutely adoreable if the plastic ears and hands weren't a hard plastic, but more pliable to the touch. All in all though, being as how this is a toy, I think it is very cute and really captures the innocence of Gizmo. I have him sitting on my desk, as I always say to my friends on Facebook.... "The Gremlin's are running around again" in referencing all the changes on Facebook that takes place. LOL. All that's needed now.... is to dress him up like his "Rambo" character and we are set.... My son saved money to buy this dancing and singing Gizmo and does love it just because it’s his “baby”. The mechanism inside the body though stopped working shortly after we received it. My son is sad b/Gizmo doesn’t dance (even though you can hear its motor trying), but he still loves listening to Gizmo sing his “Mogwai Lullaby”! ... show more
