- A Tower Through Time: Urbania is a Kahler series of collectible ceramic tealight houses, designed by Mette Bache and Barbara Bendix Becker. The Little Tower is the most abstract piece in the range: a clean ceramic cylinder that takes the universal form of a tower and strips it of any particular era or regional reference.
- Windows Wrap The Cylinder: The tower is white glazed ceramic, shaped as a straight-sided cylinder with a flat top, and covered on all sides with hand-cut rectangular openings of varying sizes in rows. Because the form is round, the windows wrap the full circumference, meaning light escapes in every direction when a candle is lit inside.
- Small But Striking: At 4.5 inches tall and 3.1 inches across, this is one of the most compact pieces in the Urbania range, small enough for a desk corner, a bathroom shelf, or a window sill, and round enough to display from any angle without needing a front face. Wipe clean with a damp cloth; the glaze needs no special care between uses.
