AMAZING craftsmanship!! Nauticalmart put alot of LOVE into this SPARTAN helmet (w/horse hair mohawk, small leather beanie included for excellent helmet fit, I do not use the leather beanie as I wear a size 8 Pro-baseball hat), chest plate & back plate are unreal they could easily stop a sword slash or battle axe blow.without breaking way as they are a nice not overbearingly heavy (for a blue collared man) thick steel. AND the shin guards aswell forearm guards are real leather, smells and feels comfy/fantastic. Extremely happy with my purchase, arrived very quickly TBH. I would most definatly order from Nauticalmart AGAIN!! GREAT JOB Nauticalmart!! 6'2" tall and 299lbs! Was a bit snug in the waist and shoulders. Its decent. The torso piece is not bad. Could be thicker idk if this would stop anything above a 9 mm. Maybe a .22 could even punch it. Not bad though for hand to hand combat. A good axe though or hammer would crush it though. The helment is better quality and fits decent. It moves a lil even when i tighten the chin strap but not enough that in actual combat it would be manageable and not turn sideways on ya. The leather arm n leg pieces i kept but idk. They suck and i dont wear them. Id recommend taken the burs off inside the chest piece and filing them down to smooth steel. The chest piece scratches fairly easy but its decent steel. I filed all the corners and i slip it on easy enough. Pretty cool. The helmet i didnt have to do much too- cept ima run a small bead of caulking to keep the horse hair snug- but its a tight fit. Im just doin it as a precaution. Itl work for my first purchase though.

Best deal on the internet. This is real metal and real leather, and built as authentic is I can imagine. This is built almost too well, the package came in at over 30 pounds. Bought it for my 10 year old son and it fits well enough. I tried it on (6'1" and 300lbs) and it fits well enough. So...anything in between should be fine. My biggest problem is where to keep this huge thing for the next 100 years or so. It will out last me. When my son asked "do you think this is almost as good as real Spartan armor?", I replied "Spartans were in the bronze age...they WISH they had armor this strong."

I will say that the Armor looks pretty cool, but it has a lot of flaws, and it’s gonna cost you more money to get it to fit right, and comfortable. Where the armor curves around the torso and the shoulders as shown in the picture, is very pointy and will poke/scratch you. It’s very annoying and uncomfortable. I went about a piece of leather and spend a lot of time cutting, and glueing these pieces together just so i can wear the damn thing. Im gonna give it a more permanent fix later on, but either way, it will cost you money. I already spent a decent amount of money getting it. I shouldn’t be spending more money to fix it, and for that reason im giving it 2 stars.

So im 6'4 255lbs and I have a very large head. Now the helmet fits nicely and has a strap to secure it and I very much like it. The armour is a tad narrow for me but I expected that as I am very large. Now for the cost it is very nice! The reason I took 1 star off was bc edges are kinda sharp and things are like not on perfectly straight and clean. Like glue is spilling over. Little things but no biggie. And another star loss bc i received my armour with paint scratched off on the helmet and a small dent with paint removed on the belly. This also leads me to believe the paint is easily beat on and the damage bugs me. Overall I do not regret buying but could be better.

Great armour-& great price for the look. It is durable and wears well, may have to bend the chest a little depending on body type. I repainted it slightly to give a more realistic approach, antique looking. Overall I am pleased and will definitely keep this as a costume to wear again.

I hade to play Pilate in our Easter play. It worked great. It definitely adds a wow factor to the play. The children loved it as well as the parents. The only thing I would do to improve it is to make the side straps longer. The lower straps could not even be fastened. It would have worked for a skinny little guy, but not for a full grown man. Although we just fastened the upper straps and tucked the lower straps in. For an Easter play, it worked great.

Overall it was well made, everyone said it was very Hollywood, it went well with my house. I would have rated 5 star, but they missed a crucial part.. THE BACK PLATE last time I checked I dont have an 8 pack on my back... so i literally had to put two front plates back to back, and had my Spartan Queen tie them together with black Zip ties... I would not have worn it and refunded if I didnt have my cloak to cover the back. Sell a spear and a sword strap for real swords, cuz the one I used was real and I am more than happy to buy those. Other than that the armor came in lubricant. I sprayed hot water and wiped off some to give it a more rigid look.
