Top Amazon Reviews

  • Definitely the most awesome and versatile boots EVER!!
Get these boots. I love writing reviews. I also appreciate good ones when I'm buying. If you do too then you'll like this. So, I have been trying to get good outdoor all weather boots for my partner for years. I have worn Sorels all my life and got him a pair years ago. He spends the majority of his day outdoors walking, mostly asphalt but also other terrains. Train tracks, grassy slopes, rocky embankments and climbing over stuff. In any weather, anytime. We live in Oregon so it is often wet. He wears "duck" boots about 75% of the year. He has tried two different styles of Sorel boots as well as Thinsulate. All of them have cracked at the top of the foot flex points, and split apart within a year. The Thinsulate were the worst. It's been pretty frustrating and expensive. I was determined to find the boots that would solve everything. I found them. These boots are almost shoes. Leaning towards a basketball shoe feeling. The toe is the duck style that he loves so well but the sides and top of the boot are different than the typical duck boots. Look like leather but are man-made. Cool white trim stripe. The vibe is epic, substantial high-top sneakers. The soles also are like sneakers on the bottom rather than snow boots. He likes the traction tho. The boots are lined with fake Sherpa that is thick and warm and cushioning. The insoles are flat. He likes it but I would get some inserts. The insides do NOT come out like snow boots do. The shoes are reinforced at key points on the upper part of the boot. They are true to size. They came in the box laced loosely with a tie behind the tongue. My partner loves to wear his boots like that so he put them on and left them that way for most of the photos we took. I made him lace them up and now he's really excited about how comfortable they are that way as well. He's most pleased with them laced up to the sinch hook so that the top can be open and his pants can scrunch inside. The laces are long enough to wrap around the ankle if you are lacing them up snug. I can tell that the quality is excellent. The fabrics and materials are sturdy and seem very weatherproof. The craftsmanship and design is fantastic! The tongue is attached to the shoe almost about 3/4 of the way up extending the height of the waterproofness. I don't think it's necessary but we are probably going to spray them with weatherproof spray as a precaution. The flex points on these boots are not as deeply creased as in the typical snow boots. I'm hoping these last a lot longer. The color is true to the photo. They're just beautiful boots. I'm jealous and I'm probably going to get myself a pair. He says he's walking light, like on the moon. The boots are so lightweight and fit so well he is considering running in them! All in all a worth while purchase at last! I can see them being the boots he wears for walking, house restoration work, hiking and everyday life. If you are considering them put them in your cart now! I'll do a follow-up review in a few months. ... show more

  • They’re true to size. Very stylish.
Size: 10 Color: Black Smooth 1
I bought a pair of these boots for my man so his feet would be warm in our Wisconsin winter weather. They fit perfectly he said they are very comfortable and kept his feet warm and dry. Several of his friends actually asked where he got them. Of course he told them where and the price was very reasonable. ... show more

  • Worst quality
Size: 9 Color: Tan
They’re comfortable and stylish, but just after two weeks of wearing the left shoe completely came apart from the sole. in this price range I didn’t expect much but I did not expect such a hasty destruction. If you’re looking for a shoe to last only two weeks this is for you lol. Otherwise i would recommend better quality shoes. ... show more

  • Comfortable
These boots are very comfortable and warm in the snow or just for walking. Do not recommend for trail hiking due to the lack of tread; otherwise a great choice for incremental weather. Sizing is slightly small. Order up a size if wearing heavy socks.

  • Decent winter boots for a reasonable price
Size: 13 Color: Dark Brown Tan
I took a chance on these because I desperately needed some new winter boots, the price was very reasonable, and I am a fan of the Nautica brand. I think the best way to review these is to do a simple "pros and cons". Pros: 1. They're made by Nautica and it has been my experience in the past that Nautica products seem to be of good quality. I've never really had any complaints with any Nautica shoes or clothing that I've purchased. I would rate there clothing in the same category as say, Eddie Bauer or Tommy Hilfiger. 2. They appear thus far to be pretty waterproof, not just resistant. I have walked through nearly foot deep puddles and thick slush and my feet and the interior of the boots have stayed warm and bone dry. 3. They keep my feet warm. I've been out in 20 degree weather in Northern Massachusetts for extended periods and my feet have never seemed to get cold. They work best with thick or winter insulated socks. Also, they are more comfortable while wearing socks that are above ankle height and ideally mid-calf, so I recommend always wearing long socks with these. 3. They are comfortable, especially for the price. No real issues there. 4. The price which has ranged from $35 to $55. Which in my opinion is pretty good. Cons: 1. They can be a little tough to get on. If you have range of motion limitation or bend over due to back problems, they can be a little tough to put on without a long shoehorn or other assistance. The top of the boot to the ankle is a little snug. Also, the thick, insulated, tongue is attached to the boot on either side about half-way down. This makes moving the tongue forward to slip your foot in a bit challenging and you probably will need to loosen the laces beforehand. 2. Not slip proof. These do not have any type of heavy treaded or non-slip sole. I would rate them as moderate on slippery surfaces, especially ice. You would probably have to reduce your walking speed and be cautious on icy surfaces. But, it's not a deal breaker and I've purchase boots with "winter" and "non-slip" features that performed way worse than these. 3. They are snug. Mostly from the ankle upwards. If you are diabetic, have circulation issues, neuropathy, peripheral edema, hammer toes, ingrown toe nails, or other foot problems these might take a little getting used to or they may not be right for you. As I stated previously, the biggest issue with the tight fit is getting them on. 4. Not sure if these would make for great work boots? The quality and construction might not stand the rigor of physical demanding work while wearing them all day, every day. The longevity of these remains to be seen In closing, it's a decent, reasonably priced, well made brand name boot and if they perform as you expect, worth owning a pair or two. I also wanted to add that I am a diabetic with neuropathy in my feet and I have a history of back issues, and thus far these have performed well despite those problems. ... show more

  • Durable
Size: 11 Color: Tan
Make sure you get one half size up from your current shoe size. This way, you can wear thicker socks if needed. This is what I did and they fit me perfectly. I wore them during a heavy snow storm while visiting Wisconsin. I could not feel any of the outside weather on my feet. They fit great, look good and seem very durable thus far. I recommend them highly. ... show more
