Beautiful boots, they look like they are well made. I got the wide calf. My calves are 15.25". The issue, the wide calf is a bit too big for me. I had about an inch to spare. I've been on a constant periodic search for the perfect knee high boots that fit my calves. In my case, these weren't it just because they're a bit too big. I did what anyone would do in my situation. I sent the original pair back and ordered the regular size. In my case this was 8.5 M. The second pair came within a day. The box said, 8.5 M, but when I opened the box, which was a bit beat up, the tag said "wide calf". I tried them on thinking, "maybe someone messed up and put the wrong tag on them. Nope. They were indeed, wide calf boots. So I'm returning the second pair and I'm at a standstill as far as what to do. Upon checking the sizes of the regular boots against my calf size the regular size ones will most likely be a bit too small. Do I order them to try them out and hope that this time the right size that I actually ordered is shipped? ... show more

It physically pained me to send these back. They were so soft and so beautiful. The heel is perfect. It's just high enough to add some class but not high enough that it looks overdone or 'trying too hard'. I made a mistake in ordering shoe width vs calf width. These will not disappoint you.

I have large calves and so it’s really hard for me to find tall boots that fit. Not only did these fit, but there was additional space! If you have large calves like me and prefer the snugger fit, these aren’t for you. But for me, they are the perfect color and go well with all of my sweater dresses. I wore these boots for an evening function and they were very comfortable at the beginning of the night but I could feel the pinch by the end. I keep that in mind as well. I did a lot of searching for some boots that would fit and finally found these. I am 5 feet six inches and wear ten wide shoes and my calves are big. If I found boots that fit in the foot bed itself, they still wouldn’t fit in the calves. These have plenty of room and I can wear leggings and tuck in my pants. I love that they are real leather and have a luxurious feel to them. The heel is a little higher than what I am use to but its okay. My other pair of boots lasted me twenty years and were my favorite but the heel started to come apart so I retired them. These boots are going to be my go to boots. I have wanted these boots for a long time but I just couldn’t bring myself to put out over $250 for them. I then saw the the 7W was way cheaper and then having reward points helped even more, and even though I’m normally a 7.5M, I took a risk, and I’m glad I did! They fit perfectly and are very comfy.
