This is a pretty fun craft set with multiple things to do if you have the time to wait in between steps of things. If you're expecting to get a craft done asap, then this kit is not for you. You will need patience. The end results are pretty cool though.

I chose this 3-in-1 National Geographic Mega Arts and Crafts Kit as an April birthday gift for my 8-year-old Granddaughter. I always order children’s gifts very early from Amazon, (by October 1 for Christmas), recognizing from past experience that there are sometimes manufacturing supply issues in the 2 months before and after Christmas. The attractive and visually appealing kit arrived in excellent condition and was exactly as described online. It was well-packed in a heavy-duty outer box to protect the inner gift box and contents. This extra packaging was important as the pottery/clay kit weighs a hefty 3 1/2 lbs. I was in heaven just unpacking the contents and reading all about the fun adventures that await my granddaughter on her birthday. Just take a look at all the brightly colored Learning Guides included with the set in the photos below. I ordered this to do with my 10 year old. She always likes to make things during school breaks and enjoys learning about new craft projects because the old ones are boring. We were most interested in the marbling paper craft in this set and it turned out to be a lot of fun. I have subsequently ordered another set of marbling paint so she can make some canvases and affix some vinyl cut outs to make shadow marbling designs for the holidays. The other crafts in the set are neat as well and will likely turn out to be quite a bit of fun. We are in the process of curing one of the leaf bowls and that was pretty fun, although a bit harder than expected. I would recommend this for a craft together project and not something that you set your child free on. Supervision is necessary to save yourself from a mess and a project that has some unique artistic license taken. Ages 8 and up would probably do well with just the right amount of parental involvement but also allow them to read the directions and follow the steps. Younger kids can, of course, handle the projects with an adult but you'll likely be more hands on than desired. I have this to my granddaughter for her birthday. It absolutely is hours of fun and crafts. We enjoy these and small projects. If you've never tried these please do. Educational but honestly more fun. I'll post pictures of our crafts later on. Highly recommended!
