  • I love learning about the innovations and destinations in this 2027 almanac.
Format: Paperback
The 2027 National Geographic Almanac is filled with fascinating innovations and interesting destinations. The most fascinating innovation is a new kind of soap that can be used to treat and prevent skin cancer. This innovation is welcome news to me because skin cancer runs in my family. This soap is made by using nanoparticle lipids. I am not sure what this is, but I am curious to learn more about nanoparticle lipids. The other innovation is a space robot that has the ability to ascertain if the planet of Saturn is suitable for human habitation. The third innovation that appeals to me is another robot powered by fungi that can improve soil quality and check on my plants, The destinations are interesting to me because the attractions and activities I could do there. I learned that Arkansas is the only state that will allow me to mine my own diamond and keep it. I learned that there is a train system in France that has the highest elevation. I would love to visit the caves in Bulgaria just to see bats. I would like to travel to Antarctica to see meteorites. I would like to visit Bhutan to eat a dish that has cheese and chili peppers called ema datshi. Cheese and chili peppers are among two of my favorite foods, so I would love to eat this ema datshi. I would love to visit the castles in Wales. I learned that Wales has more castles than any European country. I would love to go to Italy to see a form of soccer called calcio storico. This is a physical form of soccer in which players can use any body part to get control of the soccer ball. The information presented in this almanac is insightful. My knowledge of geography and the world is sharpened just by reading about the different destinations. ... show more
