This was a great independent craft for our 7 year old. He tends to get overwhelmed, but this was a great balance of follow directions, be creative and focus without too many unnecessary steps and tasks. It turned out so cute and he loves it in his room.

I guess I'm more used to diamond paintings that have the numbers or symbols to match with the colors and the placement is more easily mapped out. These are more relaxed in that you can place the beads anywhere and everywhere on the planets. I’m not sure if that’s more interesting for kids or makes it more daunting. I got it for me and my youngest and he likes the night light part but isn’t into it to place all the beads, or maybe I’m too controlling to help him put the beads in a cohesive pattern. Maybe I should just let him go however he likes? Not sure but I wish it were different. But the product is just fine and the finished product I think will look great anyway! ... show more
