Before I take the considerable plunge into more expecnive and professional options, I wanted to try one of these first to see if it suits my needs. I an doing baking soda blasting so my media is not as abrasive, and I am generally using this to clean old finishes from wood. With the proper psi, it gets the job done, but I can certainly see how using it all day professionally would not be sustainable due to its hopper size and having to be mindful of clogs constantly.

Looks can be deceiving as this was kinda cheesy looking with all plastic parts but it holds up well and gets the job done. Good deal.

I tested this with baking soda to remove some light rust from a tool. It worked really well for that purpose. I haven't had a chance to try it on larger projects. Not sure if my little pancake compressor can keep up for something much larger anyways, nor could the small hopper...but I'm ok with that since it only costs $25 and I just need it for random small projects.

This was used to clean paint off of cast aluminum chairs and it did the job admirably. I was using fine grained crushed walnut shells. I suspect that different media may produce different results since the walnut shells didn't even touch the oxide layer on the aluminum (but to be fair I never expected it do that) just trying to remove the paint. Fantastic tool especially on shaped or uneven surfaces. My only complaint is the hopper size. It took only 3-4 minutes to empty the hopper. Also be aware this tool needs regulated, filtered and dried air. It is not recommended to hook it up directly to shop air.

Very easy to use comes with good instructions. I used it to clean electrical terminals in a fuse box with baking soda. And it really worked great. Easy to clean after. Does take a large amount of air volume if you constause it. But for short blasts any air compressor should work.

This is one of those items that may be a "sleeper" in that it performs better than it looks at first blush. Not to say it looks inferior because it doesn't, but it doesn't have that "H.D. industrial" kind of feel. This makes for 2 of these now, and this one is possibly the better of the 2, it has a bigger hopper and will hold more material. Ideally, one will go in a blasting cabinet and the other for free range work. I've yet to really put either of them to real work, so far, it's just a couple small projects, blast off paint for clean welding surfaces, and this is certainly suited for such, and more; that's not to say I'd be eager to blast an entire vehicle with this (or my other one), that might be pushing its capacity - only way to know for sure is get after it - time and work will determine how well it does over the longer term.
