Great curtains for the price. They feel great, have a nice weight to them and work well at blacking out the room. The first night I slept with them installed I didn’t wake up until almost noontime which is a great testament to how much darkness they provide.

I bought these months ago and just opened them to put them up now. There are things I like about them: very silky soft, lighter weight than anticipated, correct length, don’t stink out of the package, and the color is just right. However, didn’t realize they were completely unlined and room darkening/sound reduction/temperature regulation seems unlikely. I pulled them closed over a half-drawn shade and the light comes right through over the open part of the shade. Working in conjunction with the shade should be fine and everything else was basically ok, but I was hoping for more coverage on their own so I could get rid of the shade. Oh well! Overall they’re fine, so not really complaining, but wishing I had opened them right away so I could have tried another kind. Maybe I’ll try adding my own liner because otherwise they’re pretty decent curtains. UPDATE: Better than originally thought on darkening. Temperature regulation and sound dampening to be determined. Increased rating by a star. ... show more

I purchased the brown color and they are definitely room darkening with only brown sheer curtains behind them on a double rod..nearly black out as I needed to turn a light on during the afternoon to find my sleeping dog.. I hung them with ring clips so they are very easy to pull open or close..the brown is rich and the texture is so soft..no noticable wrinkles straight out of the bag so need to steam or iron..hung and done..I just ordered an olive green set from another vendor (because that color was not available here) and I really hope they are as well made as these..I highly recommend these curtains from this seller! ... show more

For years I've had beautiful shears over my ceiling to floor windows trying to let the sunshine in. OMG. I wasn't born in Texas. After 12 years of blasting heat, I bought these lovely teal velvet block out curtains and No More! These babies block that lovely sunshine and heat and yes, the cold winters too. Now, of course I tie them back to allow the light in, sometimes... I'm not a vampire. lol I simply couldn't take another summer of full blast afternoon sun with my a/c set on subartic plus three fans blowing. Felt just a tad crazy. It's not dark inside.
