Nalgene bottles just work. The Nalgene bottle is perfect for those who enjoy outdoors activities. As funny as it is to say it "just works" when it's as simple as a bottle, it absolutely does. For starters the material. Not only is it BPA-free, the Tritan material is perfect for a drinking bottle. It's extremely rugged, in fact Nalgene has gained a reputation for how long their bottles last. It also doesn't leave much of a taste! A lot of my experience with plastic bottles is that you can taste the plastic, the problem persists with metal as well. Nalgene bottles have a fairly neutral taste. It's also very resistant to trapping odors and tastes. My problem with alternatives is that if you hold coffee in them for a long time, then your water tastes like coffee even after a clean. 1L is a perfect amount of water to hold in my opinion. It's enough to be usable, but not overkill to where it's not a functional bottle. It's great for day to day use as well, I find myself finishing a Nalgene just fine. The size is great in this aspect, it doesn't waste space with insulation. I find a lot of metal bottles and other plastic bottles can only ever hold 500ml and some change because of their shape. The leak proof seal just works. A lot of bottles are finicky, if you screw the cap from an angle it still leaks. I've tried to do it from an angle but it always screws on properly, I've never had a problem with it spilling. Overall the Nalgene is the perfect bottle. I take this water bottle everywhere and love it so much. I know everyone wants a Stanley type of bottle right now but this is the perfect water bottle for me. I know that it can basically be run over by a truck and not break. The wide mouth makes it easy to add ice and water and it will never leak as long as the lid is screwed on correctly. I already have a few water bottles, but they’re all insulated. I purchased this one because I wanted a bottle that allows me to see how much I need to and what I had already consumed. It’s mid morning as of me writing this review and it’s almost already time to refill. Sadly I wasn’t doing that with my other bottles. I love that they come in so many colors. I was originally going to go for pink, but I like the orange and blue with the purple. The quality is great, no leaks as of me tipping the bottle over on my bed. It’s 32oz but doesn’t feel as bulky as my 32oz flask, the base also seems smaller so I’m hoping it will fit in some cup holders at the gym. It’s a wide mouth which I don’t mind. I’m sure you can add a silicon straw in side if it was a must have. Grip is easy with my hand or by holding into the loop. The cap and lock is secure. Super happy with my purchase! ... show more
