I’m not usually a lipstick person but I got this for a costume, and this honestly was such a great lipstick! It’s super easy to apply, but you’ll definitely need two coats for the full affect. It’s a matte black finish and it doesn’t feel sticky, even after I applied three coats. It also wore it for about 6-7 hours, and not counting the three coats I applied right at the beginning, I did not have to reapply the entire time. It lasts through eating, drinking, lots of yapping, and once it’s dry it won’t really get on your teeth. You could probably apply a light coat of gloss if you wanted a shiny finish. It also didn’t look cakey, even after three coats. Overall, a great lipstick and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a long lasting black lipstick. ... show more

I haven't gotten to wear this in public yet, but I tried it on last night and it's the perfect color! I've been hunting for a true violet lipstick for months since Nyx discontinued their amethyst hue, and KVD's wolfsbane color is beautiful but isn't available in stores. This was my solution, and it's fantastic! I only gave it four stars because it's a little more translucent than similar shades in other brands, so I had to apply two coats in some places. However, after I blotted it and it fully dried, it was stuck to my lips like glue (in a good way). I drank a few different beverages with it on, and there was very little transfer. It also wasn't nearly as drying as the liquid lipsticks I own from other brands, like Maybelline. My lips still felt a little chapped after an hour or so despite an undercoat of chapstick, but I sort of expect it at this point when I wear liquid lipsticks. Just for fun, I applied an overcoat of blue-pink shimmer lip gloss and it was beautiful! If I remember later this weekend, I'll post a picture of the final result. Okay soooo.... I've never EVER been bold or brave enough to try black lipstick... Ever. But I was looking for something different in color other than what I'm use to (reds, pinks, mauve, gold, etc.) to wearing. I am so glad I found this after searching and searching aaaaaand searching. The reviews are definitely true about how long it lasts. I mean for real! When I opened it, I immediately wanted to smell it, cuz I mean... It's black, all I was thinking was a stinky ink smell. Lol! Boy was I wrong. It smells like a hint of vanilla (to me) which I like. When I first applied it, it was shiny going on, and felt creamy. As it dried it was no longer creamy but it did not feel dry to the point it had a chapped lip kind of feeling. Just dry and smooth is the best way I can describe it. Lastly, I wore it for a few hours and it held up very well. This was just a test wear before I actually wear it out to a birthday party. I am so so happy with this product. I will be buying the other colors. It really won't come off y'all. I tried using just water a few times. But still wouldn't budge. I Love it though! All it took was some Vaseline rubbed over it and it started to wipe right off. So just a little sidenote: DO NOT APPLY lip gloss or anything for shine to this product because it will become easy to smear/come off. Over all I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. Product went on smooth and you get a lot of product which is a plus! However, after allowing this to dry on my lips it got really sticky. There is a small bit of transfer when i run my finger across my lips. Which is not a big deal but I can’t really get over the sticky feeling on my lips. UPDATE: After letting the product sit at room temperature it is way less sticky. I am not sure if being in the cold had anything to do with the sticky feeling. But its waaay less sticky and nice! One of my worst experiences with a lipstick. The color was good, and it dried about how expected, but they put a perfume in the lipstick that makes it overwhelming and unusable considering the burning that it causes as well.
