My niece stole my previous PU leather backpack that I used as a carryon/bag when vacationing. Which turned out to be good for me because I like this one better. The material is an excellent quality, but not the price point of actual leather so I won't get as upset when expected rough travel wear and tear occur. It is approximately the same size, but is a bit wider and a bit shorter. So while it is the same size, I feel like it has more useable room. And this one has side pockets! I get a lot of use out of them because I always have a water bottle in one and use the other for my phone/passport while going through check in and security. Once I'm through security, I prefer to use the back zipper area for my passport so I know it won't get lost and is secure. It can hold my laptop, kindle, and the other items I normally carry on (pills, wallet, toothbrush, glasses, etc.) and has interior pockets so they can be organized. I do also appreciate the luggage strap so that when we have longer layovers, I have a place to rest the bag if I don't want to wear it. I honestly can't see myself using it like a purse with the strap, but I have used the hooks to hold my sunglasses case, lipgloss case, and/or a hat. The nice thing about this bag is that it does look nice enough to use as a bag when traveling if you don't want to carry a second purse. I normally carry a wristlet and only use this bag when I need to carry more if we'll be away for the day.

Although I'm generally not a fan of artificial leather, in the context of a case used for travel it actually seems to be a good idea. It is easy to clean, quite a bit lighter in weight than actual leather, and it is inexpensive enough that you won't be heartbroken if it is scuffed by careless baggage handlers. The bag is spacious enough to hold a 17 inch laptop in its main compartment and still have multiple inches of space for clothes and ancillaries. There are pouches on either side of the bag that are just big enough to hold a 750ml insulated steel bottle. The elastic straps at the top of these pouches are also sufficient to hold your mobile device is safety. The bag also has a strap on the back, beneath the shoulder straps, obviously intended to fit the extended handle of a larger, wheeled bag. As in a couple of documents pouches and you have a very functional, minimalist bag big enough for overnight trips. Let us face it - the days of checked bags on airlines are rapidly drawing to an end, so small yet capable bags like this are very important for frequency travelers. I do wish that there was a layer of foam insulation to afford the laptop some extra protection, however doing so would reduce its capacity.

I don't think I have seen a bag designed like this one. The back has the adjustable shoulder straps. There is a smaller zippered pocket and a travel loop that can easily slide over a luggage handle. On the front are two zippered pockets that are 10.5" x 14.5". They are zipped from the left and right sides. Each side has stretchable open pockets for drink bottles. The top has one zippered opening with two small open pockets and one zipped pocket. There is a loop on each side for you to attach the enclosed strap should you not want to use the shoulder strap. While stated as a womans bag, I think it would be just as great for men. This has the look and feel of a high quality bag. I was able to add two laptops, my purse, my drinks, and so much more! QUALITY: 5 out of 5 PROS: It is so unique. The design allows for so much and with the placements of the pockets, you will be organized. CONS: The actual zipper pull tab is the only area that doesn't bring in the quality. It's a small thing and frankly, you wouldn't know it. Overall, I really like this for so many reasons. Business travel just got better!!

Perfect Travel Backpack — Stylish, Smart, and Mayo-Trip Ready I absolutely LOVE this backpack. I ordered it just in time for my upcoming Mayo Clinic trip, and it could not be more perfect.
