I got these nearly a year ago to start practicing oil painting techniques and get an understanding of how oil paints work on canvas/what to expect. Because of these, I got really into oil painting. It's a great buy for anyone on the fence about getting oil paints, or beginners that don't want to spend a lot of money on name-brand or professional quality paints just yet. Since using this set, I've actually gone on to higher-end paints and selling paintings. This is perfect for any painter who's interested in oil painting, and I would highly suggest this for a gift as well. The tubes won't last very long if you do multiple large paintings, but the pigmentation is really good for it's price range. You can definitely dilute these easily with gamsol oil (my personal choice) while maintaining it's original shade. Either way, absolutely fantastic for the price. ... show more

Im very happy with this set of oil paints. It came in like 3 days early!!! Lets just say, the packaging is very beautiful. The amount of oil paint you get in each tube for the price is a good deal, I can see a dozen of 21 ml tubes being sold for 40 or more bucks. The paint is very vibrant and thick. Also as you see in the pictures they even give you a beautiful "Thank You" card. The package itself provides a nice visual representations of its given colors. They also provide clear cleaning tips which are helpful for any newbies or anyone in general. The top of the tube caps crack after only a couple of uses and the paint starts to dry in the end of the tubes. For the money spent I guess I could expect this. This is my first attempt at oil painting so I cannot compre quality of the paint to anything else but overall it is performing okay. I am able to produce good results. ... show more
