This spoke to me and my family on a whole other level. This is a wonderful story told from the perspective of a younger brother whose older brother likes to wear dresses. This is our exact experience. My children, especially my older son who also wears dresses, felt so seen by this story. He occasionally doubts himself when other people question his clothing choices, and this book was wonderfully validating. It is also an excellent reminder for folks who maybe care a little too much about gender norms that children given love, respect, and the freedom to express themselves will thrive. You also don’t need to have a gender non conforming child to get something out of this book. Anyone who is trying to teach their children to accept and respect the choices of others would benefit from this book. Do yourself a favor (and a favor to all gender non conforming children who need to know they are loved and supported!) and get this book!! ... show more

    • A beautiful story!
I love this book! At a time when the world is crazy and there's so much conflict, I wish we could all see each other the way we did when we were children. As a parent, I've always taught my kids to be their authentic selves, and to always be accepting of others, no matter their differences. I highly recommend sharing this story and its message with your little ones, and living it yourself, no matter your age. ... show more
