I really WANT to like this nursing pillow. I purchased it in July 2017 to use with my twins who were born a little over a month later. We didn’t start using it until September as the twins weren’t able to breastfeed until then. It has been less than 5 months since I started using the Breatfriend pillow, and it has flattened out so significantly that I now have to use other pillows to prop up this pillow so that I can nurse them using it. When I say it has flattened significantly, I mean that it is now less then 2 1/2” in some places when the twins are NOT even laying on it. Other areas are not as flat initially, but flatten like a pancake as soon a baby is placed on the pillow. My twins were born prematurely, and are still only in the 5th & 10th percentiles, so one would assume that a pillow marketed as a twin nursing pillow would be able to support the weight of 2 small babies without getting flat since their weights are well below what “normal” babies’ weights would be. I can’t imagine how quickly it would have flattened if I had full term babies or babies that were chunky. I really liked this pillow when I first started using it, but now that it’s so flat, it just hurts my back because I have to hunch over or use lots of extra pillows in order for the twins to reach to nurse. Unfortunately, I waited too long to make a complaint that the window of return had closed, so I can’t get my money back or a replacement. Really wish this had worked until my twins were 1 like we had hoped. It was a good pillow while it lasted, and I wish I could just get a replacement so I could continue to use a nursing pillow until we wean them. ... show more

With my first kid, I used the regular Brest Friend pillow. For my second daughter I debated using the same first pillow or getting this plus sized twin version one. I am plus sized, but the regular version fit around me just fine. The reason I love this pillow is pretty simple. I have very large breasts and especially for my newborn, it’s easier for her to breast-feed with me using the football hold. This extra big pillow allows her to lay fully on the pillow while I breast-feed in the football position. It’s far more comfortable than any other pillow I’ve used. I love that it has a secure attachment around my waist so the baby doesn’t fall between the pillow and me. The soft cover is really nice. I’ve had to machine wash this cover a few times because I have a speedy baby and it’s gone into the washer and drier without any issue. I haven’t had the compression issue like one of the previous reviewers but I’ve only been using this for six weeks. ... show more

    • Love it, but foam loses shape

This would be a great pillow. The absolute holy grail of nursing pillows. Except that it is marketed for twins first and plus size second. I guarantee that there are more breastfeeding plus size moms than moms with twins. But my real issue with this pillow is that I’ve had it for exactly one month and the foam is already breaking down and losing its shape and getting squished. I also have the original “My Brest Friend” and the foam on that one is better quality. Harder? More dense? I don’t know, but it didn’t lose its shape after a month of use. I’m wearing this thing at least 12 hours a day. 50% of my life right now with my 8 week old. That’s just facts. And this pillow was pretty expensive for the foam to be caving in like this. I would still 100% recommend this pillow to all nursing moms. It is big and comfy and baby can sprawl out when they’re milk drunk. But the foam situation is bumming me out ... show more

It has been a lifesaver for feeding the twins. I put a boppy lounger on either side of the nursing pillow, put a twin on each lounger, sit down with the nursing pillow, and then can pull/roll each twin toward me, and then can safely place them back onto their lounger when they've finished eating. It's a bit of a process and takes up the whole couch, but it's the only way I've figured out to tandem feed them when I'm alone. ... show more

The idea behind this twin nursing pillow is wonderful but there are some major flaws. My twins are small 5 and 6lbs yet it still bends in the middle pushing their heads together. The support just isn't there. It needs a firmer foam base at least. The back attachment is quite frustrating seeing how it squishes completely flat and shifts while trying to feed. If you remove the back attachment or try to tighten it to fit there is exposed scratchy Velcro that scratches the babies. Also it doesn't come up high enough to not need to slouch or use additional blankets and pillows to get the babies to breast hight. ... show more

My wife bought this when we were expecting our twin girls. When it arrived it was comically large. There were "people" that talked about dual nursing, but when you actually have 2 babies you realize how impractical it is to do. There may be people that are able to do this, but it would require someone placing the babies on the pillow and getting them after each feeding. This does not seem like something you could do by yourself. Also we have a rocking chair similar to a lazy boy that my wife sits in while she nurses and this thing is way wider than the seat. So I don't know what kind of a chair (maybe a sofa) you would need to use this, but don't expect to use this in the nursery (unless you have a love seat or plan on sitting on the floor). My wife never even used this because she couldn't figure out how to use it without an unacceptable amount of help. Where do you sit, how do you get the babies on, how to you get them to latch with 2 babies, who helps them latch if they come off? This did not work for us. Maybe it does work for someone else. We ended up selling this new in box for much less than what we paid. ... show more
