TLDR: If you’re deciding between this and a Boppy, I highly recommend this one for breastfeeding. It’s comfortable, keeps baby from sliding into the middle during feeds, and the pocket is incredibly useful for holding a bottle, snacks, drinks, your phone, and other essentials. The back doesn’t always sit perfectly centered, but it’s still comfortable and absolutely worth the purchase. I’m really glad I purchased this breastfeeding pillow. After using a Boppy, I definitely prefer this one for nursing. The biggest difference for me is the shape and structure. With the Boppy, my baby would often slide or fall toward the middle of the pillow during a feed, which meant I was constantly repositioning her and adjusting my own body. With this pillow, she stays much more securely supported in front of me, making breastfeeding much more comfortable and less frustrating. The pillow is very comfortable, and I love that it wraps around my body and provides support while I’m feeding. It makes a noticeable difference during longer nursing sessions, especially when you’re sitting there feeding a newborn multiple times throughout the day and night. I also really like that it helps bring the baby up to a better height rather than having to hunch over during the entire feed. One thing I will say is that the back portion doesn’t always land perfectly in the middle of my back. Depending on how I’m sitting or how I put it on, it can shift slightly to one side. However, I don’t find this to be a major issue at all. It’s still very comfortable, and the overall support and functionality are worth it for me. I would absolutely choose this over a traditional Boppy for breastfeeding. The pocket is another feature I didn’t realize I would use so much. It’s surprisingly handy for keeping things within reach while you’re feeding. I’ve used it for a supplemental bottle, snacks, drinks, my phone, and other little things I don’t want to have to reach across the room for while holding the baby. There are also two pieces of fabric inside the pocket that I’m honestly still not completely sure what they’re intended for. 😂 I haven’t really needed to use them, but I’m sure they have a purpose that I just haven’t figured out yet. Overall, I think this is one of those baby products that is genuinely worth purchasing if you plan to breastfeed. The fact that my baby doesn’t constantly slide into the middle like she did with the Boppy makes a huge difference. I loved this pillow and suggest it to anyone who is breastfeeding. it has firm support for the baby like it should so they don’t roll or sink. it’s also nice because it has back support and clips around you which keeps it in place. The pocket for your phone or whatever is a nice touch.

As a new mom of 2 under 2 with major back issues — including a collapsed disc — I knew nursing was going to be physically challenging. I’ve tried other nursing pillows in the past, but nothing came close to the support and relief I’ve gotten from the My Brest Friend Super Deluxe . This pillow has honestly been a lifesaver during such a vulnerable time in my postpartum journey. Why this is different: • Firm, structured support: Unlike other floppy pillows, this one stays exactly where I need it. It holds baby at the perfect height and position so I’m not hunching, twisting, or overcompensating with my shoulders and neck. • Backrest is a game-changer: The built-in lumbar support is no joke — it’s the only pillow I’ve used that actually helps me sit upright and take pressure off my lower back. We had received a boppy at our shower and used it in the nicu. It would slip and slide. Never felt completely stable using it. I had this on our registry and bought it and it's been a godsend to us. I use it for breast feeding and my husband uses it to bottle feed our baby. It helps free our hands. It gives a stable place for baby to lay down on, so they don't roll or squirm. The parachute clasp and the velcro make it very secure. I am a large and my husband is a XXL and we are both able to use it. When I was seeing a lactation nurse, that was one of the recommendations to use. I personally like the super deluxe version. Because it makes it so, it's easy to clean the outer cover without making the foam dirty, or the foam soaked. Plus there is extra back support, which is very, very handy. I highly recommend this! The pillow itself is great. Nice support, very comfortable for both mom and baby. I really like the clip and Velcro strap to keep it on securely. Initially, I thought the cover was very cute. But when I washed it (cold wash, delicate cycle) and then line dried it per the instructions, it shrank so much I couldn’t get it back on the pillow. Very disappointed, because now I need to pay extra to order a new cover. I had bought the organic oatmeal one, so I will try a different color and hope it’s better. ... show more

Great for nursing a newborn!! I haven’t found it as useful nursing 3mo+. It’s very comfortable. It is really difficult to change the cover, which isn’t ideal with a spitty newborn. But overall, I love it! It doesn’t hurt my back like a Boppy!

    • It Really Has Been my Best Freind - Saved our Breastfeeding Journey
Breastfeeding had not come totally easy for us, my son's latch was OK but I had to have an emergency c-section and was limited on the types of holds I could manage. When we got home, I couldn't adjust very well to making the holds work without pillow assistance - it felt important to me to keep trying as my son genuinely seemed to prefer breastmilk to the formula and I wanted him to have the best of both options. We managed to get back to the breast a few weeks later but I was needing to hunch over to do football hold + other pillows like the boppi were doing nothing to help. I read reviews suggesting this pillow was a game changer and really wanted something that would make breastfeeding more comfortable. And wow what a difference! No more awkwardly hunching over, Baby could rest comfortably on the pillow while feeding and I could hold him for longer periods after feeds far more comfortably. Feeds became sessions I enjoyed and the soft minky material was super comfy for baby too. There was many a time where he would finish a feed and contentedly enjoy a milk-drunk snooze on the pillow. Perfectly balanced so I could hold him but check my phone or watch something in comfort. Now we both enjoyed breastfeeding time and I looked forward to the nights when I could feed and watch something low stimulating in the wee hours. The material has been easy to wash and still super soft after, the memory foam holds well. About the only minor issue with this one over the other versions is the strap being velcro instead of a clip. The velcro is starting to fray after 3 months use now but still holds mostly OK. Though at this point baby is starting to outgrow the pillow a bit at 4 months (in fairness - he's grown quick!) The part of the pillow that holds the baby has like little "mounds" on the left and right side that help keep baby stable once in position. This helps way more than you think it might! This puchase was absolutely worth it and helped make breastfeeding both enjoyable as well as satisfying. Thank you My Breast Friend! ... show more
