  • Great for beginners for the money...
We bought this for our 4 year old daughter who has shown a keen interest in the piano for Christmas. Very simple and easy set-up, had it up and ready in minutes. The sound quality of each instrument is fairly high quality for the cost of the keyboard. The acoustic piano selection sounds great, and pretty close to an actual piano. The recording feature works great, although it lacks the ability to record vocals as you sing into the microphone. It only records what key's you're hitting. The speakers equipped are pretty good sounding, no rattles or any vibrations at full volume. All in all she loves it, and will be able to enjoy it for awhile before needing anything more advanced... I'd recommend this for anyone of any age wishing to learn the piano. ... show more

  • The sound was good, money well spent!
For the price the sound quality was surprisingly very good. We bought this for our 7 year old granddaughter to learn piano. She loves it! We like it has metal grates over speakers for protection. Headphones are a waste, can’t adjust, I don’t think it would fit a 6 month old baby. As for the mic, it works, but not the greatest. The piano stool is sturdy and works well for her. For a beginner it’s perfect. Well worth the money! ... show more

  • Our developmentally disabled son loves his new key board.
Love this for our son. He is very much a music lover and often taps his fingers on the table like it is a piano.

  • PLAYING WITH DISTURBING OTHERS!
When I received this order, I was very happy. It was easy to assemble. The quality is not that great, but it does what it is supposed to do and the price was right. My son wanted me to send it back for a better quality one, but you have to pay for the return postage and it is so cheap, it was best I kept it. Now I am glad I did because I have a very good real piano and it is loud and disturbs everyone. I practice on this one and play when everyone is gone. I am glad I did not send it back. I recommend it for anyone that has to be silent. I can play any time I want, midnight, etc. I also think it is good for practice for your little ones. Great buy! ... show more

  • It’s just really bad and I should have known better. (But it’s not too late for those browsing!)
I don’t actually consider myself a cheap person at ALL, so in retrospect I have no idea what I was doing when I purchased this. It seem blindingly obvious now that the $500+ feature I was after, weighted keys, was too good to be true when I found it in a package this cheap. A package even more cheap when you consider all the extras it comes with. About those extras though. Like the headphones straight out of the 90s that I would hesitate to even call child-sized. Or the microphone that I’m pretty certain is a literal toy. With these items it’s the absolute absurdly poor quality that’s the real problem. Or the bench that is useless to me because it has no weight specifics. Is it only intended for children too? I don’t intend to risk my actual safety to find out. Likewise, the stand is cheap and lightweight. In other words, if you are buying this product because you are enticed by the add-ons, don’t be. They’re the perfect example of mass produced items so poor in quality as too essentially be manufactured garbage, destined straight for the landfill and oceans. I find that absolutely shameful. But you are still paying for all those items in the cost of this package. So keep that in mind when you consider what the real cost of this piano actually is then. Because that explains a lot. The piano itself is the biggest problem. Just to be clear, I’m not a piano teacher (lol), just a dabbler, but I HAVE had experience on actual pianos and other keyboards. To start, the “weighted“ keys are completely digital and they sound TERRIBLE. The control you have over the “touch sensitive” sound is minimal and because there is a need for the sound chips to allow for this “feature” the default range of sound is pretty low, despite the speakers it touts. So even on the loudest setting, without headphones, I found it to be difficult to hear what I was playing. On the flip side, with headphones in it becomes SCREECHINGLY loud. This is because the higher note range totally drowns out the lower one, and it’s muuuch more apparent that that is a problem with headphones on. Apparently, something is out of whack with the programming or design (or even just mechanically, idk). I also noticed that repeatedly hitting the same key causes it to skip notes. It just can’t keep up. The sustain button also holds notes only for a moment before abruptly cutting off, instead of just nicely fading into silence like, you know, actual sustain pedals. That one makes me laugh at the sheer incompetence, honestly. So this keyboard is not even performing the basic functions of a keyboard: playing notes and sounds correctly! Also, speaking of sounds, the most basic keyboard/piano tones sound AWFUL. Thin and twangy, more like a banjo than piano sounds. (And sadly, thanks to my husband’s own musical interests, I know exactly what banjo actually sounds like in real life. So when I say that I’m being sincere, not just pulling a random analogy out of thin air. It really does have the tinny, echo-like sound of a banjo. It’s really, REALLY bad.) The other features are pretty goofy also. The “follow” button plays public domain classical songs at full volume, seemingly at random points in the songs, and then starts showing you random notes on the screen. Playing these notes produces no discernible effect on the song, I.e. you can’t hear at all what it is YOU are playing or contributing. It’s annoyingly and absurd. The rhythms are as useless as on any keyboard and the other available instrument sounds COULD be useful, but not on an instrument with such profound sound, recording quality, and overall mechanical problems. Likewise, the recording and playback options could in theory be useful but not on an instrument that an actual musician, even a beginner, would be INSANE to attempt to write or record actual music on. I don’t know who this is for. It’s too fundamentally broken to be of any use to a child who’s learning. They won’t be able to hear themselves, both literally and figuratively, with the terrible sound quality and key function glitching in and out. And no self-respecting adult (beginner or otherwise) surely wants infant-sized equipment and an unreliable unit that they will just have to replace in a couple months anyway if they get serious about learning. Ultimately, I don’t believe I have a defective unit. I just think this is an EXTREMELY cheaply made item, and that shows. I am just going to replace it with something higher quality. I assume the people who sell this mass produced product understand that most people will buy it for their children who won’t want to spend significant money on an instrument they assume will get destroyed and/or abandoned, won’t pay attention to its quality anyway since it’s for their kids, they know the kids don’t know any better, and ultimately it’s a large and difficult to return item not worth the hassle of returning. So while this isn’t necessarily shady, I would say it’s fairly unethical to produce items in such a way that knowingly take advantage of a situation that is fairly unfair to begin with. (Lack of access to musical equipment for kids being uneven across socioeconomic classes being the situation taken advantage of here). It wouldn’t be such a big deal if the end product wasn’t an ocean full of plastic garbage. I wish I had seen through this. I usually do. Oh well. If you have the means I encourage you to spend your money on a better product or at least on JUST a piano at this same price point with none of the extra junk. The bench, stand, headphones, etc aren’t really needed up front anyway. A desk and chair are generally more comfortable regardless. A better quality keyboard can last years and years with careful usage. That I know from childhood experience, let alone being a careful adult. ... show more
