Me and my band members have 3 identical keyboards, and we are learning from scratch. My buddy has the notes on stickers. I like to pull them up as I play pieces that I have memorized because they throw me off in that setting. I used them on a smaller keyboard, and I was able to store the extra pieces in case I get an 88 key piano. They fit pretty good on my ancient Yamaha keyboard that I bought from a church rummage sale for $20. I found that the note markers to fit imperfectly when laid out on the keyboard. I cut the item into 4 pieces and marked the backs with a sharpie so I could easily reassemble in the future. Now it fits perfectly. I would definitely order again. ... show more

This is definitely way better than the usual stickers....lays nicely on the keys though my pianos black keys go all the way to the top so the guide has to bridge OVER the black keys but still works well!

I decided to learn piano as an adult and, while the online system I use is really good, I hadn’t yet memorized the notation for the bass clef. These silicone key guides are perfect for helping me do that: Not only do they have the note name, but they have a diagram showing where it is on the musical staff, which is exactly what I needed to have some prompts on! The silicone guides come in a trio; one for the lowest notes, one for the middle keys and one for the upper keys. They are flexible and easy to install—just drop the right guide into place, over the black keys and bumping up against the keyboard. They fit perfectly on my 88-key Roland FP10. Note that the material is soft enough that you can even push down the top of each guide at each key and slightly push it under the base of the keyboard. I thought that would be “better” somehow, but the extra work is really not needed. Just place the guides at the top of each key, smooth it down slightly and it works well. The guides are short enough in length that they didn’t bother my (admittedly beginning) playing skills. They did not impact the ability of any of the keys to be pressed normally. After an hour or so in place, the guides all flattened out nicely from their shipping shape. Since I’m pretty confident with the middle-range keys and notation, I’m planning on taking these off (‘don’t want to use a crutch for too long to make me lazy) and then will do the same with the upper and lower guides as I master the notation. That makes these key guides better, I think, than one which would span the entire 88 keys in one guide. Since I'm learning to play the piano, I needed a way of remembering (at least to start) which keys produced what notes. I didn't like the idea of stickers that might be difficult to remove. When I saw this product, a removeable guide for all 88 keys, I knew this was what I needed. If you have a beginner's electric piano with fewer keys, then simply remove, by cutting, the excess guide notes from either end. Then place the guide over the keys. It's easy to clean if it starts looking a little grubby (or if your cat walks all over it with litterbox paws, lol).
