The dragonflies are beautiful and the fabric worked well for my project. But I definitely had to use stabilizer fabric on the back to give enough stiffness for my laptop bag. This fabric is really cute and thick enough for recovering items like chairs and footstools. The listing says it's 100% polyester, but it feels like a cotton canvas/polyester blend. I haven't sewn with it yet but I believe my domestic machine would be able to handle it with the correct needle.
