I found these soaps to be very lightly scented. They were not overpowering at all. The soaps themselves lather well and rinse well without leaving the feeling of a film on your skin. Gentle soaps that are perfect for those with sensitive skin like me. Would recommend Would make a great gift

This review is apparently only the third one that has been written, and I'd like to clarify some inaccuracies that I'm seeing in the other reviews. These bar soaps are amongst the best I've tried in recent years, and I've experimented with dozens of other brands. The 6.75oz size of each bar almost matches the largest I've ever tried, Marlowe No. 102 Body Scrub Soap Bar for Men at 7oz, and comes at a cost of $1.11 per ounce versus $1.22. I've been using Yardley bath bars for quite some time, after finally giving up on commodity "deodorant" soaps like Coast which don't last very long, leave behind residue, and don't really offer the properties of a deodorant. These Musee soap bars are long lasting and don't leave behind residue, much like other soap bars I've tried. However, the scent varieties provided by this set are the most imaginative I've seen, with each soap bar packaged with playful imagery. Another reviewer here mentioned that 6 bar soaps are packaged in each set, but then listed only 5 varieties. The following is a complete listing, along with the scent provided by each: Full of Joy (grapefruit and lemongrass), Hope (lily of the valley, lemon, and juniper berry), Imagine (santal and violet), Kindness (wisteria, rose, and french vanilla), Peace (lavender, bergamot, and french vanilla), and Thankful (fresh petals and citrus). I had been looking forward to Hope the most, because of the lily of the valley, but even though it has a pleasant scent like all the others it admittedly doesn't exhibit the scent of lily of the valley. My yard has literally thousands of lily of the valley, and I know what they smell like each Spring. Another reviewer here commented that the scent of these bar soaps is "horrible" and "overwhelming", and causes nausea. Absolutely untrue, were they thinking about another product when they wrote their review? Apart from the high quality of these soap bars, I also like knowing that Musee has "provided employment to those in the community who had seen hardship and suffering", including "women in recovery, people with disabilities and individuals needing a second chance", with a "mission to rejuvenate the lives of others by providing opportunities for employment to women who have courageously overcome addictions and found freedom from abusive relationships and incarceration."

The media could not be loaded. Very impressed with this product right from the get-go! At first, when I looked over the box, I thought that I had won a giveaway because it was so beautifully packaged! Usually packaging doesn't affect my reviews but this one was outstanding! It's a beautiful gift box, each soap is individually wrapped in their own boxes, the first thing I noticed was the wonderful aroma coming from each box inside of the gift box, the second thing I noticed was the beautiful packaging, the bow that is across all of the soaps and I did take a short video of what exactly this looks like but our dear feline friend decided she wanted to stick her head in it too because she likes the way they are scented! The scent is all natural, the first soap I was drawn to is called "Peace". We all could use a little bit of that right now couldn't we?! "Peace" is a beautiful fragrant lavender and French vanilla blend. You can definitely smell it but it's not overpowering. I love wonderfully scented things so this was right up my alley! I noticed there's not a ton of ingredients here, I really just don't see anything that would deter me from buying these for my sensitive skin. In fact this is the most well packaged product I think I've received in a long time! When I opened the box I did take the soap and put it in the palm of my hand and it completely covered the palm of my hand because these soaps are extra large and they will last you longer than a regular bar of soap would because they are almost 7 oz a piece which is pretty big! Definitely something I would recommend as a gift to yourself or to someone else. Anyone that likes beautiful, natural oil-based scented products that are made from natural, paraben-free and cruelty free ingredients would be tickled pink about this particular gift set. To help you make a decision as to whether or not this product is for you I included a short video. Also the affirmations of positivity throughout the box are smile inducing! Happy sniffing!

This Musee | Words of Encouragement Soap Set | 6 Soap Bars | Handmade in the USA | Cruelty Free | Paraben Free | Sulfate Free | Woman-Owned makes a fabulous gift or gifts. The six soaps all have their own cute boxes, but they also come wrapped in a ribbon so that they can be given together or separated. The smells are strong, making the bars quite potent when next to each other. They smell better on their own, without the scents clashing. Aside from the Grapefruit & Lemongrass, they are floral scents, making this gift best for a floral fan. Each soap is 6.75 oz. This is an expensive set, but these are good-sized bars, so the price per ounce is lower than most fancy soaps. I'd like more variety in the scents, but I think this is a great set. The soap also does a nice job of cleaning without drying out my skin.
