Mosquitoes couldn't care less about me. I guess I have the wrong blood type, or maybe I give off a certain "get the heck and tarnation away from me" vibe. But they LOVE my kids and my husband, and therein has always been the problem: We have a lovely, big back yard with a sweet dining table that in the past twenty-two years we have rarely used -- until now (I know: we aren't the quickest draw in the west). Shunning anything chemical, we searched for a natural mosquito repellent that would keep the little suckers at bay. I found these candles and chose them over the others because of their metal, lidded containers. It's become part of our outdoor dining experience to laugh at the mosquitoes as they zoom in for an attack then quickly do a 180 away from us. It's as if the scent creates an invisible force shield. If mosquitoes ever plague Obi Wan, he should buy these candles. I can picture it; can't you? Plus, they smell so wonderful! We use these candles on our porch table, and they’re great. They do work on keeping bugs away, they don’t burn out too fast, and they have a very light and pleasant scent- like others who have a really hard scent.

I bought four this year! One for the neighbor, one one the front porch, two for camping. They last forever if you trim your wicks like you are supposed to. The smell is awesome. I even bought the body spray repellent. You must try!
