Took me about an hr and 45 mins to build and you dont need to me an engineer to put it together. if you have even the slightest mechanical experience you will be perfectly fine. the only problems i dont with it were that 2 screws that are already in it got striped, came with a little damage but not at spots you can see, and the numbers in the manual can be kinda hard to see.

I received part of the murphy bed on friday April 11th. After spending hours on the phone with customer service they finally agreed to return the bed due to it being incomplete. Yesterday April 14th I got the rest of the bed and put it together but many pieces are damaged due to who ever packaged it just through it on the truck and broke the facial boards for the drawers and cabinet. . I am stuck because I need it for guests that are coming. The bed is poor quality and not very sturdy. Not worth spending 1000 dollars on and terrible customer service they really didn't care

This Murphy bed is great but not that easy to assemble. Some of the panels were warped, therefore very hard to line up with the screws. The screws that came with the hinges are short and as the panels were folded down some of the screws came out. The hinges on the side to close the front and lock are bent we had to reshape them. The tracks for the bottom to pull out the platform were also uneven and kept popping out so it kept closing uneven. Luckily we are able to adjust by using longer screws, reshaping the locks and adding some more hardware.

Most importantly, this item will come in 2 boxes. I received both boxes on different days. It had great instructions with easy to follow along pics for installation. All pieces were enclosed and visually marked. Arrived with no defects. I was able to put it together alone. The only thing that I didn’t particularly care for were the slides on the drawers. I had trouble with one side not sitting properly. Otherwise, it is a solid, sturdy bed with a comfy mattress.

We had a few parts missing and they got back to me to fix our problems and sent replacement parts. There were a few scratches on it, but they didn't have a stain stick or paint to send me. This was the only downfall to the purchase. It comes with a 6 inch mattress. I bought another 4 inch mattress to put on top. My daughter said it was very comfortable with the added mattress. We are very happy with the purchase.
