This set really works for us. The little plate has a nice ledge to it so everything doesn't just get shoved onto the floor. The utensils are small for babies hands and look like and feel like regular utensils (in weight not sharpness). Our granddaughter is 18mo and starting to want to feed herself. She watches us eat and likes to mimic but her other baby forks just don't work well. These do plus she can mimic the knife and spoon. I will say she has tried to put these to far into her mouth but I think that is with anything babies can grab. The plate and utensils clean easily. The little passport and stickers are nice but I think that will be saved to use when she is older and understands more. Pretty inexpensive and nice set. ... show more

Munchkin generally makes good quality baby products, and we have been using their plastic, non-slip spoons/forks for quite some time. We wanted to transition our 3.5-year-old into using stainless steel utensils with a knife. We had been hesitant to provide him with a knife earlier because of fear of him stabbing himself in some way. This set, however, comes with rounded utensils (with exception of the fork, of course). PROS - Rounded knife - Utensils shaped for small hands - Stainless steel - Dishwasher safe (top rack only) - Hefty weight - Food adventure map for some imaginative traveling CONS - This is me trying to find a flaw when there really isn't one: No raised base to keep utensils off the table to keep germs away - Playing while eating might discourage the wrong type of behavior. In our family, we try to keep dinner to just be about eating and conversations with no cell phones or -- food adventure maps. - The bowl is plastic, and that could contribute to more micro plastics entering the child's digestive system The slightly more heft to the utensils make it easier for the toddler to transition from plastic ware to full-sized adult ones, and our son had adjusted to them fairly well after a few days (he kept wanting to use his old, plastic ones, but we told him they were broken, threw them into the trash, and told him that only the stainless ones were working.) Of course, we later saved the plastic ones for our next baby to use. He still needs to learn how to use the knife, but we are happy to see that it has no sharp, pointed edges that could poke someone's eye out or with which he could severely cut himself. I cannot help but judge things by the cover...and this set has the cutest cover. I love the packaging and my daughter loved all the fun things that came with it. The dish/plate is colorful and she wants to use it. The fork and spoon are easy for her to grip. I love the plate is like a bowl, but not as high, works great for messy foods that usually end up all over the table and her, so much less so with this set. She is not old enough to appreciate the passport, she is not a picky eater, so getting her to try different foods has never been an issue, but I can see where this would be very helpful for parents who have that issue. 5 stars from me for sure, for a set to use for yourself, or something to give away, it is very giftable. ... show more

This set contains a stainless steel utensil set, one undivided plate, a small "passport" card and sticker set. It nominally includes a map of where certain foods come from, but the the map is part of the box and there are no perforations or easy ways to remove. The card is just a piece of paper labeled cardstock, and the stickers are nothing special either. The fork, knife, and spoon are the same as the existing munchkin flatware, and the plate is just a regular munchkin undivided plate. These are not new products, just new packaging. What's new is the inclusion of a little paper card and stickers, which I found disappointing. ... show more

This is a charming little set! Everything is very well made and perfect for little hands to grasp and use. You get the plate, silverware, the map, passport, and stickers. The grandkids love this set. It cleans up easily and everything is nice and smooth. Well worth the price on it. The passport started a whole conversation about travel and every time one of the kids used this set we had conversations about other places and we would take pretend trips to someplace new every time.
