I got this Mulwark ratchet set because the hex screws were not all made correctly. Some did not fit the supplied allen wrench. While I waited for the furniture kit company to send replacement hex screws I tried this inexpensive ratchet set. Using a hex bit (sorry, not a tool gal and don't know what these little screw bits are called) one size larger, every odd screw went in perfectly. I've used this since then most every time instead of a true screw driver and love how fast and easy placing screws has become. No matter what, the screwdriver would slip invariably striking the hand holding it (mine). With the ratchet this no longer happens. Of course it turns clockwise and counter clockwise. Yes, I said it is cute ... and it is! The set is small, maybe 3" long. Tools are not generally cute, but this "baby" set is, in its small metal way. Two rows of bits come with it including a straight-edge and a Phillips screwdriver, several hex sizes and styles (square, star, etc), and some I have no idea what they are used with. The big pluses for me were its price, $15, how easy they are to use, the versatility of bits, and yes, their cuteness. They fit so nicely in my crafts(wo)man toolbox. I didn't spend much thinking once these last 6 screws were set in the you-assemble cabinet I'd never use them again. Turns out I use this ratchet set more than any other tool I own. ... show more

This tool worked perfectly for removing a couple screws with only an inch or so of available room. It was on sale the week before but procrastination took over so I paid full price. Still worth the aggravation it saved me from not having to remove the sink that was blocking the access, as that would’ve required removing tile as well. Starting with the bits, the bits included in this low-profile mini ratchet set work just fine. Fitment is good, and the included selection covers most needs. However it is the mini ratchet handle that could have been better. Construction-wise the ratchet works as expected, and seems to be made of good materials that do not feel cheap. The ratcheting mechanism works as intended, and bit fitment is snug. The one big flaw with the ratchet though is the position of the reversing toggle: When using the mini ratchet with one hand, the reversing switch falls exactly underneath your fingertips - which inevitably causes the ratchet to reverse direction when you apply the turning force with your fingers. Unlike regular ratchets where you can grip them with three fingers around the head when using one-handed, with this mini ratchet you'll have to readjust your hand position so that your fingers are not touching the reversing toggle. Aside from that one flaw, the set itself is a good value and nicely made. ... show more

Took it for a test drive since I ordered it to resolve an issue with tight spots when setting up cat trees and wall trees due to anchors. This guy came in handy and help a lot. Though at some point it could not turn any more, which is not a bad thing. It helps avoid stripping your screws if its too hard to turn. This tool works fine at the right job, it is thin and has a nice gear on it so the click is very satisfying. My issue with it is that the bit will fall out... all the time. I could not get the bit to stay in it.

Had to assemble a bedframe and there are a few screws in tight spots. Without this nifty little tool, I would've spent way more time tightening the screws. With this, I finished the job in a few minutes! Just be careful not to over-tighten, because the screw may get stuck in the screw. Recommend tighten just enough and finish the tightening with a hand screw, which is less likely to be stuck. ... show more
