  • Good Quality Item
Style: W30 Pro
Good quality item. Solid central zipper than goes all the way round to the bottom of the case. One solid zipper is much better than two crappy ones.... Padding is thin, but not extra-thin (as expected). I use this bag for a 6" reflector and a 5' refractor. Note that I have the 30" bag which is LARGER in circumference than the 40" bag. The bag alone is okay by itself for local trips, but if I am camping or throwing a lot of gear in the car, I put the scope in bag and bag in a rigid Plano box. Don't expect to fit your tripod in the bag as advertised. Even if it fits, it does not belong there next to your telescope. Yikes! My tripods travel separately. The outside pockets are small but not useless, I put a Rigel and/or green laser in them. One could certainly fit eyepieces also. ... show more

  • Bagatelle multipurpose bag
Style: W30 Pro
I bought the 30 inch bag to carry my tripod and spotting scope when I go to the range. Bag is padded enough to protect the scope. Plus there is enough extra room in the bag and outside pockets to carry a lot of extra stuff. Works perfectly for me.

  • Very helpful
Style: W30 Pro
This is great for my son’s tripod and telescope accessories. I will say we have the tube in its own separate heavily padded bag.

  • what you need to know
Style: W30 Pro
the bag is very nice, durable .. i use it to store and move my telescope ... an 8 inch....my only issues are the inside straps could have been a longer....its hard to snug down...also with the padding i use its impossible to use the side pockets....so while it looks great those 3 pockets are a nice show....if you purchase this bag ensure you account for scope circumference....and the fact that the straps, for at least my scope, leave only an inch or so of pull after you secure it...other than that...it a good deal. ... show more

  • A well made bag with nice features.
Style: W30 Pro
This is a sturdy, well made bag. I use it for a 90mm f5.5 refracting telescope and a Sky Watcher AZ Gti alt-azimuth mount. It has just the right length (30 in.) and is much roomier in girth than needed. I love that the bag has a reinforced bottom for setting on rough and moist surfaces. The enclosed three padded bags are a helpful inclusion. I have three suggestions for the manufacturer for the next edition of the bag: 1) The internal pad separating the telescope from the tripod should be taller - it is just barely tall enough to separate the telescope and the tripod. Additional padding in the separator would help too. 2) Leave out the cell phone holder - I don't need one and I'd rather see either a lower price of an even better bag than get something I don't need. 3) Provide a case or insert that will hold a number of eyepieces - especially today's giant 2" eyepieces. No generic bag will be perfect and this comes as close as I could reasonably expect to meeting my specific needs. It holds everything I need for a perfect grab and go set-up and I expect to get a lot of enjoyment in using it. ... show more

  • My son loves it!
Style: W30 Pro
My son received a telescope for Christmas and we just kept it in his room partially setup which made his little room very crowded. At the end of June he wanted to take the telescope on a trip out of state but I didn't feel comfortable sending it without a case. I researched a lot of different bags/cases and came across this one. The bag is not specifically designed for the type of telescope my son has; however, it fits his telescope and the stand once it is dismantled. My son was against getting this bag as he didn't think he needed one. Once he go back from his trip he said he was happy to have it and it made it easy to transport. Just the other night he said he was glad he had the bag because it was a perfect way to store his telescope. We are very happy with it and I would highly recommended it. One of the reasons that I was drawn to this bag was because it is sturdy and holds the stand as well. You can carry it a couple of different ways which is nice. I use the long strap; however, my son uses the 2 shorter handles. ... show more

  • My Celestron 5SE fits, but…
Style: W30 Pro
Well, they said that a Celestron SE models would fit in this, and I only have the 5 inch, and it’s super tight in there. As you can see from the photos, there is very little room between the fork and the tube, and virtually none between the tube and the tripod. I figure this is going to be good enough for storing here in the house, but I would never travel seriously with this arrangement. The thin little piece of padding that they have around the tube is in a good place, but I feel it should be thicker, and somewhat taller. Some padding between the fork and the tripod seems called for too. They did include straps for tying the equipment down inside the bag, and that’s good, but the way they’re configured them makes it pretty hard to get them all fastened up. I thought I would be using the external pockets to handle most of the accessories, but it is so tight in the bag there really isn’t much width left for those pockets. The included, freestanding pockets, however seemed to work nicely to hold all that gear, and fit on top of the fork. The main zipper and the exterior fabric all seems sufficiently beefy. If this bag had been a couple of inches longer and one or 2 inches wider, with lots of padding on the inside, it would’ve been near perfect. As it is, it’s just OK. ... show more

  • Great tripod bag!
Style: W30 Pro
I was looking for a bag that was big enough for a full sized tripod with a gimbal attached. This bag is perfect with plenty of room to spare. Well padded. The pockets are great plus.
