We got this toy for our 4 year old son who loves construction equipment. We had something similar to this a few years ago that had a cord attached to it but it was faulty because the cord kept breaking or fraying and didn't work great. This toy works great since it's fully remote controlled and you can even move the shovel up and down to pick up dirt. He has a lot of fun playing with this in our yard, grabbing and moving small piles of pebbles. Great purchase!

My kids did not like this becuase it doesn't turn. I don't like because it is easy to lose parts. The idea overall is a good one. In a house with just one kid it might be easier to not lose parts. We would not get again just becuase it does not turn.
